“This club will always be around,” Thompson said. “There are other things happening right now – Dundee United will be around as a club. Absolutely. I’ve been hearing that [doubts about United’s future] for over two years and I’m sick of answering questions about finance.
I have been thinking about this since the article was released and was wondering what he meant by it?
Rumours I've heard which I'll take with a pinch of salt is that:
The Thompson family are selling most of their shares at the club to other investors.
There is an american businessman wanting to buy a majority stake in the club.
Alistair Borthwick is gradually buying out the Thompson family bit by bit.
The English Investor that ST turned down a few years ago is looking to buy shares from ST.
Gordon Deuchars making a comeback to buy shares.
Anyone care to shed any light on this?

'I'm sick of answering questions about the clubs finances'.
One sentence that sums up the absolute arrogance of Stephen Thompson and reveals that his play for 'transparency' with the supporters post-relegation was just a charade that he felt he had to play along with at the time.

What questions is it he's sick of answering?
Has he actually ever answered any of the really important questions?
Has he explained the poor running of the club which has left every square inch mortgaged to the hilt with nowhere left to go? I must have missed that

Yes, when things were going reasonably well he gave some detail, not close to all of it tho.
He hasn't answered any of the real financial questions at all in years, just pleaded for investment and claimed he's found it, while actually taking the club closer to the edge with these bloody loans

Word on the street is Thompson has made enquiries about purchasing the Royal Arch from Belhaven, doubt they would see as it is a bit of a goldmine but if the offer is big enough who knows?
