Went in on Thursday to buy the wee lad the home kit for his Christmas. He's into XLB for the top and shorts and medium adult for the socks. Now, the top was there but I had to get someome to look for the shorts and socks. Alas, the shorts were in but no socks. The woman serving said they were due a delivery in that day with socks. Paid for the top and shorts (£46 and £17.50 respectively). No-one lets on of course that on Friday Utd were doing a Black Friday deal with 20% off home shirts which by my calculations is a £9.20 saving.
Anyway, I phones up today to see if they have the socks in and to see if I can bring the strip in to get the difference refunded, although it wouldn't be a refund as such since the difference would effectively be the cost of the socks which are £10 for his size, in other words I'd have paid the difference of 80p.
Guess what happened? No socks in. I asked about the delivery and got "Oh but we only got SB and XSB in." Does no-one there have the faintest idea about stock control? Surely the supplier works on the clubs behalf rather than just sending any sizes out regardlesss of whether they are what is needed or not? I then asked about the discount on the shirt if I brought it back in and was told "No." I'm pretty sure I can take it back and get it refunded and then could buy the discounted one and there's nothing they could do about it. However, I would be travelling through from Forfar and have a feeling they'll not have any of the tops left in his size.
Of course, on the website it still says they have the socks in stock in a Medium and the shirts in his size, just as it did on Thursday.

Had similar experiences in there mate. No been in for months but none of them seems to have a clue what is going on. Also an older women, who I assume is in charge in some form due to the other staffs deference to her, seems to go in the huff if you ask for something that they can't seem to manage.
Bearing in mind they can't seem to manage or 'don't know' the answer to just about any thing, this can lead to a very boring and not at all pleasant experience basically every visit. I even asked for a student ticket one time for an away game and they told me they couldn't give me one as I didn't have my student ID with me, even though i'm registered on the clubs database as a student season ticket holder and had about 6 other forms of ID to prove I was who I said I was.
Only go to renew my season ticket now, anything else is a waste of time and test for anyones patience.

Give the club and shop their due credit, they have promised to sort this out and got back to me couple of times in really quick time which I am grateful for.

This pretty much sums up my experience with the club shop, pretty feckin useless all round for sizes and stock.
Currently going through the annual pantomime which is getting son a new top as part of his birthday, have had the same probs every year since he was a nipper.......now 26 , not got size , nae shirts, nae socks, or nae shorts , every bloody year, same old same old.
One year wanted the away strip, nae stock in for weeks , sold us home strip so he’d get something on Birthday with arrangement they took our details and we were to go in and swap over when away tops came in.....no calls so phoned them a few times over weeks, nae new stock in, eventually just gave up still waiting on a call back.
It’s same when new kit comes in summer , they never seem to have in before Dundee fortnight so kids can get before their holidays!
In these times where the club is sailing pretty close to financial meltdown you’d think every marketing opportunity would be maximised not treated with indifference and lackadaisical attitude to sales. Customer is always right but they don’t seem to care about that.
Oh and shop not open Sunday’s is a missed opportunity imo particularly at this time of year.
And the service ....was mighty pee’d off time my purchases were laid down on a counter covered in crumbs while the assistant munched on some toast over them ! She must’ve missed the training day !
Maybe ST has applied his business acumen to this department also ?

Correct me if im wrong but i dont think shops anything to do directly with club. Is it not just sport that run it?

In 2004, the Just Sport Group agreed a deal with NIKE Inc. in a partnership that would see Just Sport Group manage football kit supply deals to the professional game under the Nike Brand.
We get a cut and do no bad I think from this but if I mind right it's dependant on volume which has been good so far.
Suspect we control non Nike products.
Just Sport re vamped the cub shop recently.
I think it would be good for clarity if those of us who spend in the shop hoping we are helping the club knew what percentage of what really helps.
I have season tickets for the kids but if I get a free ticket I spend the equivalent in the shop to put the same back in and would like to know if that is worth doing.
I spend more than an ST on merchandice every season as kids want a shitload of stuff out of the shop.

The level of wages dictate the level of service Nemo. I've had issues too but if you highlight them the level of service is a decent and rapid fix.

I saw something online that I was gonna buy for a Christmas gift for someone, I went to the shop to purchase it but they didn't have it, the alternative being was to order it online but pay £5 delivery.
Shove that up your glittery tangerine dirt box

An option i think they should add on the website is a click and collect service.
I was going to buy some of the stuff that was in thr black friday deals for the young lad but paying a £5 delivery fee when i stay 3 minute drive doesnt appeal to me.
Luckily enough it was still on when i got home on monday and went in for the stuff.
