My first born was going to be Hamish. But it wasn't an acceptable name for a girl! My next ( a boy) got Paul.

I remember playing golf at Camperdown a few years ago - playing my 3rd shot to the 10th ( I wasn't very good) when a ball zoomed past me from the tee. This turned out to be Hamish who was as big a hitter of the golf ball as he was at taking goal kicks. After he passed me I suddenly thought he must have a double as United were in Japan on a pre-season trip. Got home and headlines in Tully read Hamish sent home after falling out with wee Jim. Didn't take Hamish long to get over his spot of bother & get his clubs out.
I have 2 football pictures hanging in the house - Mudimans "Going to the game (Tannadice) and Hamish the Legend.
