We don't need another passing/possession/build-it-from-the-back merchant. We've gone from top 6 PL to also rans in the Championship with these types. I would also ban anyone who talks about playing the right way, get the ball down and pass, intelligent/progressive/creative football and also those that are incapable of making an instant and lasting contribution who need time to gel. We need someone who knows how to attack and defend, someone who will have us buzzing & battling for 90+ minutes, someone capable of building a squad with a bit of balance and someone who an prepare different game plans for different opponents and different venues and who can change things for the better if we are struggling.
That's not too much to ask is it. Oh and we need someone decent to appoint the above as clearly our owner doesn't have a clue,

The thing that always gave Scottish fitba a better and more fan involved atmosphere over more so called technical leagues teams was shouting, chanting and cheering on the physical side and effort and seeing a reaction that fed eachother.
I sat there today thinking what the fuck is the point. That's not me and alot of similar minded fans are ground down to witnessing rather than supporting after years of heartless pish, indirect tactics and fuckwit leadership fae the top down.
We will respond with volume again if we have fight & determination. If we get more direct the crowds will max out again too but we need massive change.
All time low today. Looking around at pusses I know or recognise the expressions are awful to see. Some well known faces missing for maist O' the season tae.
We look lost.

I sincerely hope this is just paper talk. It wouldn’t surprise me though if Utd have made another mega fkn blunder by going through all that process, offering Stubbs the gig and him knocking us back! Great start for our new gaffer whoever it is that knows he’s 2nd choice. Let’s hope it’s just paper shite. Or is it more sinister in that this is Utd’s way of saying to us “Look, we tried our hardest ... but in the end it was only Yogi that would take the £250 p.w wages! “ … it’s all starting to get on my fkn tits tbh!

Personally i would be happy if this is the case.

Might be true that Stubbs has knocked United back, but it doesn't read well to me. It looks more as though Stubbs isn't getting the job and has got his story in first.
If there is any substance to the story, that United offered the job and it was turned down, it would only come from Stubbs, and in this case I reckon he or his agent have got their spin in first.

Couldn't care. If he doesn't want to take the job then move on to the next best. If I was desperate for a job then I wouldn't give a toss as long as I got the job.

Not seen one bad review of lazlo so far

Hughes back as favourite with the bookies it seems... 5/4 on Oddschecker
Not been a price for Laszlo all day tho boy on East posted a BetVictor book showing he was 1/2. Maybe it was from yesterday & something has come up to exclude Laszlo. Yeah Hughes shortening today from 4s to 2s to 5/4.

Hughes looking likely.
Fay what eh hear Laurie Ellis is the problem and beh problem eh mean we can’t afford to pay um up so are really looking fir somebody ti come in beh themselves and work wi the staff already inplace. Stubbs and McIntyre not in frame because of this and could be proving a sticking point in whatever’s going on wi Lazlo.

I would worry about any Manager that would agree to have his Assistant Manager foisted onto him without having any prior knowledge of him.
Kinda screams 'yes man' from the off.
Ken whit eh wid dae, gie it to phukn Laurie Ellis.
How no?
Mak Jack Ross look like Pinocchio.

Honestly I'll be unhappy if it ends up being Hughes. Struggling to understand how that's not more of the same. He'll not have the personnel for his playing style and I've always thought of him as being stubborn tactically.
Hoping for Laszlo based on everything I've read up to now.

should never have passed on McCall a couple of years back.

We never.He passed on us.
He said after having a meeting with Stephen Thompson that 'there was one or two things he wasn't happy with' after coming out of the talks.
More or less the same conclusion that Stubbs has just came too.
Thompson really knows how sell the club.

I wish he did know how to sell the club.

Yeah remember seeing that he wanted assurances to do with transfers but ultimately Thompson turned him down because of that is what I thought.

Spot on TEK. Cast your mind back to Golac....he wasn't allowed to bring in his own team.....his 'assistant; had resigned from the FA Academy at Lillieshall and had to run back with his tail between his legs. He was undermined from day one, and remarkably still managed t win a Cup because he was a great man manager. Laszlo will have the same issue, but I think he is a more 'forceful' personality than oor Ivan was. it will be a rollercoaster.
This remains speculation......lets see what pans out!

it's a sad sad day if we can't afford to see out the assistant managers contract.
he must be on around 600 a week until May 2019= roughly 50K
get the right guy in with his own assistant tomorrow FFS, we need to win on Saturday.
