Willo Flood -Caretaker Manager

Is the chat.

Re: Willo Flood -Caretaker Manager

If that means we are going to take our time and properly advertise the managers job instead of just jumping in for McIntyre, then it's probably a sensible move  (not that I'm dead against McIntyre btw, I think though he should apply and put his case forward like everyone else.  We should also make clear what the terms are e.g. no 3 year contracts, 1 year rolling ideally. That will clear out all the greedy bastards and hopefully get someone who is really committed to making a success of the job if he wants to be kept on longer).

A 1 year rolling contract is an absolute must.

Re: Willo Flood -Caretaker Manager

Flood is the obvious quick fix short term appointment as caretaker, but no chance I'd even give him a game in charge.

We're gonna take someone out of work, so a contract till end of May is what's required, then review, a 1yr rolling contract going forward after that is a must tho.

As long as he does not pick himself it will do for now

Interesting that Bowman hasn't been given the caretaker gig again.

Surely Raymondo the only dafty who'd give Willo a game........should be made to hang his boots up before getting any where near picking a team.

Care to elaborate on this?

Re: Willo Flood -Caretaker Manager

The implication, which I've heard before, is that Bowman didn't help Stevie Campbell's situation.

Willo out of the team and on the bench may be an improvement.

Billy Dodds would be as bad as some other names bandied about. Yogi is like Mixu in his approach, he'd lose the players in his first training session.

Just putting this on the one post, as my enthusiasm has waned for football. The Foundation started off laudably, but they can't even answer an admittedly difficult question... or acknowledge receipt. So after wanting to support them, I decided 'no' for present.

Without a shadow, we have too many supporters' groups: disunited. We have no direction, within the club, or support.

And, having seen every team in the Championship, every other team has a few players better than ours in every position.

Having said that, there is no stand out team this far.

So if we get lucky with our choice, you never know.

Maybe due to get lucky with a chosen manager Pat.

Supporters being disunited is probably the only recent successful card played by ST by shutting the fuck up and letting us bicker over eachothers words, opinions and pain instead of having an angle to unite against him.

Re: Willo Flood -Caretaker Manager

Main concern for me with Flood being caretaker is he's already said his piece to team mates a thousand times through happless times and shitebag performances to slate, reality check and push for better. Only a change in tactics would offer a difference and have the fuckers that don't change have the will to change for his tactics when they've obviously not reacted to his words as a team mate.

Agreed.

If Willo's game plan for all is going to be to run about daft , pass the ball sideways and be constantly out of position there's not going to be an improvement to play.

Willo should not be put in charge imo.

Re: Willo Flood -Caretaker Manager

I think we will need to be active in the transfer window, and if the gap remains no wider at that stage there is still hope. Currently we have a team of Hobbitt sized midfielders and forwards....they can bulk up in the gym, but we need bruisers.
Rays signing spree has been exposed as flawed, as well as his tactical nous being non existant.

Spend in January when we cant get funds to sign an established manager.

Our next loan was around the corner it will be sooner now.
