Find it hard to care as there really isn't an outstanding candidate tbh, but think it'll be Mcleish or Lambert.

I voted Mcleish, fuck knows why . Maybe just feels safer than others. Would love to be surprised by an unthought of impressive as fuck candidate but no some Caixinha type dickhead.

I'd rather have someone who at least understands the Scottish game, culture and media in this role so they don't make a cunt of things after the past experiences. If it's to be a foreign manager then a Tommy Wright or Mikey O'Neil type.

Hope it's someone from outside the old boys club. Alex McLeish? Jesus, how uninspiring would that be? His comment saying he knows all the latest trends sounds like a grandad saying he knows how to work an iPad. All these comments saying the new boss has to know Scottish football etc are pish. He has to know FOOTBALL!! Japan have been operating with a foreign coach for years and qualify all the time. They had Zico of all people as their coach in recent years. Another dour Scotsman from the Largs club would be mind numbing.

Is that down to looking up to a manager or down to attitude, culture and professionalism?

We have a problem stunted by big time Charley attitudes and a drinking culture that fucks up the important time in futba careers.

Getting respect might be easier in Japan too as respect comes from a different angle and culture.

Someone who knows how to get the best out of what they have to work with and a proven tactical record of limiting opponents strengths and taking a shot at their weak points against the odds.

Knowing who the next Lucien Favre, Ivan Jovanovic is or from the past Brian Clough or Jim McLean is almost impossible to predict and bring in.

Need to pick up a cheapish option that matches us and someone who won't fuck off during the job.

Personally don't want Sam Allardice or any englishman in charge regardless of their credentials.

If the SFA get this right it will be down to luck.

Can we not just give up on international football? It's depressing watching everything to do with Scotland these days. From the clown at the head of the SFA, to the fact that every manager that is appointed seem to think that it's better to pick guys from the English Championship with Scottish grannies over giving young Scottish players a chance.
