Nope Ray.Don't think anyone thinks we can win like that week on week.

Firstly EVERY team in the Championship has a number of new players in their squad.

Secondly are you suggesting that the supporters who are critical of the dross that has been served up (for 14 months now tbqh) are not intelligent?

Thirdly we have now played 12 games this season.So your comments sound A LOT like excuses.How long does it take to get your team upto speed? 20 games? 30?

We signed 12 first team players in the summer. He's still propagating this myth that Flood and Murdoch are new signings, just because they signed new contracts in the summer.

St. Mirren however, have made 14 new signings this summer, they certainly haven't taken their time to be "bang at it".

As I said on Mad, he's getting more and more like McNamara every day, spouting off the same promises, excuses and cliches with every setback, thinking the fans are too stupid to see through his bullshit.

This is one of the reasons I hate united appointing former players as managers, when it gets to this stage it's brutal to see the team struuggling and how they react. You know the guy loves the club, but they either look visibly traumatised (Heggy, Brewster) or they start making stupid excuses which make them look bad (Sturrock, Mixu, Kirkwood).

Usually I ignore the Press stuff, but since there have been a lot of comments on his after match analysis, I looked for it this week.

"It’s frustrating. An individual error in the first-half has given us not a mountain to climb but gave them something to hang on to."

An individual error it was not: at least five players fucked up in the build up to the lost goal.

These interviews can be reported out of context.
Tek paraphrases 'they' as supporters.
It's not, RM's term used is 'people'.
I'll paraphrase that as the media.
The same applies to the use of 'educated'.
Tek thinks he's calling the support uneducated, he's not, he's referring to the media again.
Nowhere in the interview is the word 'supporters' used.
Let's just say RM is referring to onlookers in general.
It's all about the context and you can interpret it anyway that fits your agenda.

It doesn't really bother me what he says in the press. He will be judged on results. If he came out and said the team is shite at the moment and its my fault would he be given more time to turn it around?

If he came out and said that instead of the constant weekly bullshit he would be shown more respect for a start.

I am not paraphrasing incorrectly.

Here are a bit more of his quote/s for clarity.

"We are not going to beat every team and not every side is going to come and play an open game of football.

We said that last year and people bought into it but they are not buying into it this year.They just think we should be winning 6-0 every week"

He also says later on in the article.....

"I do understand that people are frustrated but we are ahead of the game points-wise compared to this time last season (10 compared to 8 after 5 matches).

Also, lets remember that we have 14 new players".

You say the people he refers to are the media, yes?

Why would the media be frustrated with Dundee United's results and performances?Why would they need to 'buy into' McKinnon's philosophy of patience?

Looks like someone is trying to interpret it a different way to fit their agenda.

But i don't think it's me with respect SmedDUm.

A dozen games and training at excellent facilities yet we look like a team that was assembled about 2.40 on match day

Why do you make it your life's mission to constantly make excuses on behalf of United.

We're a shite team, with a shite chairman and a shite manager, who insists on playing with the same shite tactics, and then spouts the same shite excuses every week.Why can you not just call a spade a spade?

I'm all for positivity when things are going well, but your desperation to put a positive spin on absolutely everything related to the club is cringeworthy. There's nothing wrong with having an objective opinion on things from time to time,

It WAS an individual error.

His error in selecting the players and line-up.

I'm serious though, what's worrying about that is not really that it comes across as patronizing the support. It's that its just a really fucking stupid thing to say, something my boy might say.

In summary, im concerned that our manager is just generally a bit stupid.
