Getting that way like last season where it's getting harder and harder to pick a starting XI where you are in anyway confident of victory.
Falkirk have started the season (surprisingly) poorly but you feel Houstie will have them fired-up for this one eh?They also have players in Hippolyte,Austin and Sibbald who can (and have previously) made life tough for us.
What starting XI would you chaps go with on Saturday then?

Fah' ever we start we'll get beat with this fool in charge loon, one up front again, McKinnon needs to wise up or fuck off
we'll lose - I'm very confident of that

AKA The Great Sack Race
Will Ray or The Baldy Shagger go first?

Feeling similar to Brewster's last game in charge - has to get it right. Last chance saloon for me.
Lewis
Robson Edge Durnan Toshney
King Fraser Fyfie McMullan
Keatings McDonald

I would line up with:
Lewis
Toshney Quinn Edge Robson
McMullan Briels Fraser King
N'Koyi Keatings
Get the ball out wide and have our wingers beat their man and put in crosses to the front 2.
Fraser pushing forward as additional support and Briels sitting in midfield. Simple yet effective football.

Did Briels not sometimes play at RB when he was in Holland?
If so, I'd give him a run out there and go with
Lewis
Briels Durnan Edge Robson (or Scobbie if fit)
McMullan Stanton Fyvie King
N'Koyi MacDonald
Get Murdoch away from RB, keep Flood away from the squad, Keatings to come on as a sub (I wouldn't want to rush him back too early). Fraser can come on to push us forward if required, but the lad HAS to learn how to track back and defend when required.

Normally I complain about our limited or to be more accurate no-existent attacking play but given the abject performances at Falkirk last season. think we need to set out to be solid defensive (2 banks of 4) and look to hit them on the break. This is a game where a 1-0 will do and the result all important. Dont know where we're going find 4 defensive minded players though - Allardice is ok, just 3 to find now (Flood, Briels, Tosh ??). If Ray plays his normal game, predict the same tanking as last year, then again another performance like last season and we might end up with a new manager

Lewis
Murdoch Durnan Edge Robson
King Fyvie Briels McMullan
N'Koyi McDonald
I'm going 4-4-2 for the first time this season. Could let McDonald drop back into attaching midfield at times. On the attack/counter we can fire McMullen and King up the wings and go 4-2-3-1 or 4-2-2-2

I'd go
Lewis
Murdoch. Allardice. Edge. Robson
McMullan. Fyvie. Fraser. King
Keatings. N'Koyi
Subs. Mehmet, Quinn, Stanton, Briels, McDonald, Flood, Taylor
I'd then shake my head and wonder why my 2 RB choices and 3 main CB choices were so poor and why I don't have more attacking width to pick from.

....then you could come on after game, tell us how unlucky your selection was although they weren't good enough, tried hard, are improving, are going to get better soon and start getting results, injuries, lack of fitness, really unlucky etc .....oh no hang on that's Ray sorry....

I can't say my inner tactical genius is any better than RMcK's as i've spent decades watching United pished oot my nut and only start to see clearly now I drive the kids to see us sober and stressed.
I'd go 4-2-4 like Spain tried when frustrated with teams working them out and frustrating them and bring in a fkn hypnotist to transform the scared, nervous fkrs into a confident attacking aggressive bunch.
hypnotize Ray into switching tactics at appropriate times and the crowd pre match to be vocal as fuck.

See having watched PSG last night that's how i want us to play in this Division (and before anyone interjects i am in no way suggesting we can play to that standard or approaching anything resembling it) i just mean adopting that cavalier attitude to football of attacking en masse and quick expansive football.
With that in mind i would like us to just have a right go at Falkirk (and everyone for that matter) and stop overthinking this league and treating it like some ardous year long battle. It's just football, that's all it is.If you work hard for 90 you have a chance. If you work hard and also have better players than most teams then you should win more than you lose.

Totally agree Tek. I sounds like a broken record by WTF can't we take the play to these teams. Give them respect yes, but have the attitude that we are aiming to attack you are every opportunity and win this game. WTF do we have to lose?

I'm not impressed at our lack of right back options - I don't think Toshney nor Quinn can play there and I'd pick Durnan before them at centre half
You need a decent tackler in the middle to cover Fraser ( he wont tackle but he can play a pass). Stanton was poor last week so Fyvie gets the nod - although he needs to be sent to boot camp ( how does a professional sportsman get in that state) but I wouldn't be upset if Flood was there instead despite his limitations.
I like McDonald but I don't think he can last the full 90 - so Keatings upfront with McDonald as impact sub !! Scobbie would be in for Robson who needs to sort his head out if he was uninjured
I think N'Koyi is the only player that looks desperate to get on the score sheet

Not disagreeing with you Tek but I think Falkirk would have been watching the game too.
They'll be wanting to have a right go at us too. Could be a classic!
Actually it will be interesting to see the games this weekend with all the teams trying to play like PSG!
And trying NOT to play like Celtic!

They'll get one Saturday

Shhh. No they wont.
It's like some posters on the forums (you should see Mad) WANT us to get beaten on Saturday.
Honestly, read the comments.
Yeah we're all fed up with lacklustre performances but throwing in the towel...?
What's wrong with folk these days?

Dumbarton game was disappointing Bowers but that doesn't stop me hoping for a better performance on Saturday.
What's wrong with that? What colour are your specs?
