No desire,no heart,no guile,no strength.
We got lucky against Inverness and Brechin....today our chickens came home to roost.
He signed 13 players this Summer. It is totally his team now.
And still the same failings are completely evident.
He must walk.We have been awful his entire tenure tbh let's be completely honest here.
We won't get out of this Division with him in charge. It's that simple.

Pahaha. 1 loss in the league and you are losing your head.

Fuck all to do with 1 loss.
Wake up.
We have been awful his entire tenure for the most part.
We will stay in the Championship a long time with him in charge.
But you keep backing losing horse after losing horse.👍

Can't be doing that what we've done today and pretend everythings alright though. Wasn't that bothered after last week as a win is a win. This should be a fucking wake up call because we aren't going up with status quo.
You need to remember standard has to be p1 all year. 2nd not good enough

This 1 game nonsense does my head in! We are brutal! Have been in every game this season so far imo and results have masked that. We are far too easy to play against! We were bullied for long spells against Brechin at home FFS! McKinnon will not get us up.

I like Ray, he's a good bloke and while I wasn't convinced the timing was right for him to come, I thought he'd do ok. Last season I felt a lot (not all) of the the criticism directed his way was completely unfair.
This season, he's made his signings, pretty sure he'd have liked to change more defensively but apart from that it's his team. It looked like the signings coming in we're all about changing the system, building a 442 and attacking the league, then we start lining up 4231 again with the same problems. A lot of folk got carried away with some of the signings, we went from dross to tremendous over night when Keatings and Mcmullan signed in some folks minds, fact is that was wildly optimistic.
What is true though is we should, with the players we have, be winning this league comfortably. We might lose the odd game, but shouldn't ever be getting a doing like that from anyone in this league, it's totally unacceptable. Is it Rays fault or the players? Definitely both, but ultimately he has to set the team up better, get more out of them and ensure we're winning games. To do this he needs to just keep it simple & he needs to do it very quick or he's done for.

I watched th first half on Periscope. Today was the first time I've genuinely questioned the manager.
I'm starting to think Ray is a) clueless b) on a stcky wicket. I watched the first half and we played EXACTLY like we did in away games last season despite having about 7 new players. Ponderous, easy to play against, no bravery on the ball whatsoever. Passing across back 4 without going anywhere or playing ball to Flood who just passes it straight back instead of opening up and looking to play it forwards, ball then just hoofed. Shocking stuff. He's sending them out to play like that. He must be. Get him to fuck.
No urgency whatsoever. We've got two wingers. We should be playing balls over the top of the full backs and getting them turning with the wingers running in behind in away games.

Dreadful result and performance today. RM will not be allowed 2 failed attempts to get out of this league. If we are not right in the promotion mix after we have played everyone home away aroun xmas time his time will be up.

The team appears to lack fitness.
The players generally look short of strength.
Several of the recent signings have ongoing injury issues.
The tactics are puerile.
All the above are down to the manager.
Yet we probably can't afford to cut him loose.

A 3-0 loss to ANYBODY in this league is unacceptable.
We do not look properly prepared nor fit.
Review in one month...but I have many doubts.

Its not about 1 loss - its about the 64 games that Ray has been in charge
He has a win rate of 53% (49% if you exclude Irn Bru games) which is not good given the the league we are in/the standard of our opposition. There have been too few clear resounding victories, hardly any good performances or entertaining games and every time we face a major challenge, we dip out.
Ray simply doesn't seem to have the managerial nous to do better or even learn from his mistakes. the longer we keep him, the more likely we will be in this division again next season.
I am not sure what his priorities are but they don't include attacking - needed to win games or defending - needed to avoid defeat.

Exactly my thoughts, keeping him and letting him stumble on could be the end for us

this bullshit about over reacting to 1 defeat and knee jerk reactions etc is just that BULLSHIT.
time and time again many of us after we have won have questioned the manager and performance its been the same shite so far this season as was last season.
the problem being far too many are willing to accept bullshit from utd and suck it up and clap away.
he has had the backing from the fans with over 4000 season tickets and has signed alot of players this summer. its a good team on paper but they just dont seem motivated under this joker. ive been very critical of him for some time just dont rate him as a manager.
We will not win the league under ray mckinnon.

Absolutely fucking shocking yesterday, genuinely when was the last time we've seen a good performance from our team, our play is slow and fucking boring! Billy king needs dropped the boy is fucking dreadful, why on earth did he not sign a right back who can go forward, WHY on earth has he no bought a fucking target man, times up for McKinnon complete shambles

He decided resigning a midfielder who is no any good in thaf positionto play at rigbt back instead of signing a rigbt back.
Mans a fucking rocket.

You can see the effect that the performances are having during Home games at Tannadice. The atmosphere is pretty ambient if ye ken what I mean. When we score, it's sounds more like relief than celebration.
Dinna like saying this sorta thing, but if we're no leading the table by Xmas, Ray's time is up for me. And Thomson and McCrony can join him if they want.

Reflecting on this topic today, for some to say fans are being fickle following a defeat isn't really accurate, looking at history.
While League Champions in 1983, we took a 4-0 hammering at Love Street from St Mirren, I cannae mind fans wanting McLean out at that point.
The defeat yesterday ain't the reason supporters are wanting McKinnon gone. It is, I'm sure, more because of his history of results to this point, this coupled with his tactics and recruitment policy.
Things may change this week: a couple of loan players, including the obvious target man, might make a difference. But that would mean McKinnon rethinking his outlook and formation, and I doubt that is going to happen.
On another note, if we are looking for a new manager, mind it will be Stephen Thompson and his board which will be making that decision.........................
He's not made many good choices in the past, and not just in selecting managers.

Last year he packed the squad full of #10's, this year he packed it full of holding midfielders, on top of that Sam Stanton revelation in the press yesterday that he cannot train with the squad (and hasn't done so for five years) makes you think WTF?
He was after Fyvie for holding midfield.
He didn't get him.
He re-signed Flood.
He signed Briels.
He signed Stanton.
They looked good together.
He got Fyvie.
He pushed Stanton forward.
He drops Fraser.
He signs McDonald.
He moves Keatings from his favoured and promised position and plays him wide where he is clearly useless.
He juggles McMullan between wing and #10 role.
He persists with King.
I know I'm rambling but it's poor decision after poor decision, he should have gave Fyvie a deadline, once he passed it he should have told him to fuck off and strengthened an area more in need of it (wings) and not once again spunked his budget on overloading one area.
Fucking mug.

Having listened to his post match, I now think Ray is now at the same point that Brewster was at after Brewster's final game trouncing by Falkirk. I dont believe Ray chose to let the team suffer as he claimed, I believe, like Brewster, he didn't have a clue as to how to stop the rot. If he was capable of making things better, he would have done so by now. Accept we cant afford to sack him but we cant afford to keep him either
