During the summer Ray talked about wanting 4 strikers, with 1 probably being a youngster.
We got Keatings, N'Koyi and McDonald. then it sounded like the 4th was going to be matty smith
Sounds like we are maybe still looking for a loan deal. The Daily Rangers story said we were after Denny Johnstone, is that 3 times he's KB'd us now?, who has signed for St J tho I read somewhere it was the Fun who wanted him, then moved on to this guy with compitition from dumbarton and inversneckie. Maybe he'd get more game time with those clubs than us?

We've got four 'strikers' and usually only need one.
What's a fifth going to do apart from warm an already-overpopulated bench?keatings and smith aint strikers even mcdonald played 10 last two seasons but i will accept is a striker. We have two! we should not play 4231 and have two strikers. We should play 442 and have 3 or 4 strikers
Harvard maths majors not needed to figure this one out.
Oh and a bit of height would help the tactical alterations that mckinnon just disnae get.
apart from that yeah we might go up regardless as we look decent on paper. we dont have 4 strikers though - 4 forwards maybe..
I think it's time that football coaches everywhere get hold of all these 'No 10s'. kick their ar$es, push them upfront & tell them to score some phukn goals. Lazy barstewards indicative of the modern generation if you ask me.
Bring back conscription, that's what I say!

We need another striker (due to injuries) and a wide player (for competition/cover for McMullan and King) imho.

This is a great point, today number 10s get an easy ride in today's game. Back in the day, when you had skillfull, hard working, tactically aware players like Luggy, Iain Ferguson, Dalglish, Teddy Sheringham, they could play up front in a partnership, or drop back to just in front of the midfield if needed.

Don't know why we play a No10 to be honest? We have 2 pacey wingers that are crying out for a target man to hit in the box. Remember under Houston we had 2 wide players in conway and swanson putting balls in the box for Daly and Goodwillie/Russell to attack?
We scored a lot of goals and played some good stuff back then. Same application can be used here.
