Re: Dundee v Dundee Utd - Wednesday 9th August (7.45pm)

Probably McKinnon's hardest team selection since he came, almost an embarrassment of riches!
Murdoch, Durnan, Fyvie, Keatings, McDonald, N'Koyi, Matty Smith all available for selection.
Will he stick with Tosney & keep Murdoch on the bench (I kinda hope so, Toshers is a big unit).
Durnan will surely come back at the expense of Robson?
Will he start with Fyvie who by all accounts is raring to go but then who drops out, can't really leave out Briels or Stanton??
Will he risk Keatings for 90 mins.
Will he start with McDonald? If he or Keatings does start, who misses out, King maybe??
N'Koyi will at least be a subbie, he's been low profile since coming with his early injury but word on the street is he's good.
Ditto Matty Smith who must be at least a subbie, I though the was excellent 2nd half v Cowdenbeath even it was only them.

Glad I'm not picking the team. We're going to have some subby bench. Have I missed any permutations?

That may not be far off the mark WeeDude. I see there's no room for PC nor Matty on the bench too...

Re: Dundee v Dundee Utd - Wednesday 9th August (7.45pm)

Yep WD that would be my starting line up tae. Allardyce drops to the bench for Fyvie. Durnan back in and Scobbie to left back. Robson on the bench. Fraser benched and McDonald up top (if fit enough)

Re: Dundee v Dundee Utd - Wednesday 9th August (7.45pm)

Fyvie-Stanton-Briels has a nice ring to it.
Flanked by King & McMullan.
Choice of Keatings/McDonald/N'Koyi up front.
Now if we only had a back four...nah, only kidding, we've lost just 3 goals in 6 games.
But if there are any Fojuts kicking about.....

Re: Dundee v Dundee Utd - Wednesday 9th August (7.45pm)

Lewis
Murdoch Durnan edge scobbie
Briels fyvie stanton
Keatings mcdonald McMullan

Keatings in for his set pieces they are superb, quite harsh on king but he would play in my team if it was a league match just feel we should play 3 in the middle to match up wee them tomorrow cause I think that's where the match will he won or lost

WeeDudes team for me too. Wi a slice of changable tactics and a sprinkling of freedom for the creative lads.

Rekon Fyvie will play. Think RMcK also has them thinking & wee are becoming less predictable for other teams to guess our formations n' tactics.

Agree.  We need him for the long term this season.  Yes of course we want to win this game but not at any cost.

Have our players turned up tonight?

Re: Dundee v Dundee Utd - Wednesday 9th August (7.45pm)

For me overrun/ lacking in strength in midfield.

Possibly injuries/fitness played a part but in all honesty I'm back to questioning Ray's choices.

Why would anyone think the midfield we put put would be able to compete?
