With Fyvie signing we've got a lot of options midfield to front but not many at the back. My stab?
---------------Lewis----------------
Murdoch Durnan Edge Scobbie (I'd like another CH)
King Briels Fyvie McMullan
-------McDonald Keatings------ (I'd like a target man)
Fraser, Stanton, Flood, Toshney, N'koyi plus a few others I've probably forgotten, potentially missing out.

1st XI:
GK: Lewis
RB: Murdoch
CH: Durnan
CH: Edge
LB: Scobbie
CM: Fyvie
CM: Briels
RW: King
10: Stanton
LW: McMullan
CF: Keatings
In home games I'd be tempted to play Stanton in place of Briels (or Fyvie) and play Fraser as the number 10 though.
2nd XI:
GK: Deniz
RB: Ballantyne
CH: Toshney
CH: Donaldson
LB: Robson
CM: Flood
CM: Allardice
RW: Fraser
10: McDonald
LW: M. Smith
CF: N'Koyi (or Patrick Bilate if you prefer?)

I would Play 3 at the back and squeeze stanton in with fyvie and briels with keatings and mcdonald up top, hate 1 upfront

A good point - three at the back has to be tempting for some home games where teams are sitting back

With a strong attacking set up and hopefully better players there's no reason we shouldn't be playing 3 at the back against teams turning up with one forward to defend.
Midfield just need to be organised to cover breakaways properly.
Should be serving up to put games out of sight early anyway so wouldn't matter if we lost the odd goal.
Would help keep Toshney out team too!
as an alternative to lifesanocean's two XIs grading system -
undropables x 7
lewis
edje
durnan
scobbie
fyvie
mcmullen
keatings
very hard to leave out x 5
murdoch(?)
stanton
briels
king
mcdonald
good benchers x 3
flood
fraser - (should really be in section above)
n'koyi
fringers x 5
mehmet
robson
allardice
m smith
toshney
That makes a 20-man squad. Would like a CH in the very hard to leave out section.

For me, if he is fit, Stanton has to play.

Fair do's Slateford but Stanton is in the 'very hard to leave out' section.
What I'm getting from this is competition is going to be rife & you'll have to be playing to your very best ability to get in Ray's selected XI. Hope so anyway.
Btw our odds for wining the league were cut from 9/4 to 2/1 yesterday.
Falkirk 7/2, ICT & St Mirren 4/1.
Pars next best at 9/1, Morton 10/1, QotS 16/1.
Then Livi 25/1, Dumbarton 50/1 & Brechin 100/1

Stanton would be a definite for me every week.
My sure fire starters are:
Scobbie
Edge
Durnan
Stanton
McMullan

I've nae seen much fae stanton to suggest hes a definite starter or a hard to drop

Eh honestly dina think there's any player that's a definite starter, we've got a strong strong squad, Stanton no great the day imo but was good against Dundee.
