The 4th Game of the opening Round witnessed an easy victory registered for Glasgow's Primal Scream.They will now progress through to Round 2 as seeds.Joining them in the next Round (unseeded) will be fellow Glaswegians Del Amitri who finished runners-up but only by virtue of winning a 'coin toss' against Dunfermline rockers Nazareth who are now eliminated alongside Kurt Cobain's favourites The Vaselines.The latter received no votes.

I'll bow to your superior knowledge here, but maybe it related to the 4 in the band when they made it big...
Googled mid post, the Wisharts left in 1981, the band hit it big in 83.......
So you're right, but it seems they weren't really part of the band for long.
