Re: Wee Jim

There will never be an equal. Was massively ahead of his time and still underappreciated within the Scottish & further afield media when they rattle off their greats.

Hard to ken who great managers are nowadays when money buys image and respect.

Re: Wee Jim

First season ticket was 92/93 season so just caught the end of an incredible period for us, can remember banging the tin sheets at the back of shed " Jim McLeans barmy army".

Connelly and big Ferguson up top, what a front two.

Re: Wee Jim

I haven't got the words to express just how grateful I am for all the footballing memories he gave me. Always a guy with the supporters best interests at heart and oh how I long for his style of football instead of the go nowhere passing rubbish we've to put up with these days. Happy birthday Jim.

Bring back the (real) "United Way" not the kiddy-on Martin version

Re: Wee Jim

the statue cant be far away.  It took jim about 2 or 3 years to make any real improvement, would he have been given that time in the modern game? Get Bannon aff!

Re: Wee Jim

Due to sharing my last name with him I can only say he is in my eyes the best McLean there has ever been apart fae my dad.

He led the way in football management and we should celebrate daily the fact he stayed loyal to us and gave us some of the greatest memories in our lives.

God love you James Y McLean

Re: Wee Jim

Cannae see the club paying for a statue, although I reckon they would welcome one at the main entrance within the fence.

It would probably have to be fan group funded.

Re: Wee Jim

Don't think it would be high on a list of club priorities at present.

With crowd funding and sorts I am sure the fans could raise enough Pat
