Re: Rudd Gullit on MOTD

The same formation served us well last season though mate.

I think most of our problems lay quite simply that we have lost real quality in Gauld,Robertson (and Gomis to a lesser extent) and haven't replaced them sufficiently.

I'll be honest i have big doubts about Jackie as our Manager.I love his ethos and i like him as a person.

I get the feeling there's not much there tactically though.Just my opinion.

We are so obvious to play against now it's painful (as you alluded to).

We simply don't have the players left in the squad to successfully play 4231 at a fast pace.

yeah tek but football at the top level is a game of chess
..if you keep winning the same way the opponent will soon stop you winning like that...

Re: Rudd Gullit on MOTD

Aye that's what i meant mate.

I worded that last post poorly.

Think i wanted to get a positive in before i stuck the boot in lol.

Really don't like criticising Jmac, cos as i said i like the fella. But we've been absolutely bowfing this season, even when we've won (apart fae Aberdeen game).

Re: Rudd Gullit on MOTD

Lack the same threat down the left that destroyed teams last season when we were on fire, we lost Andy Robertson and lost our wing commander when Jackie requested GMS tuck in and track back off the ball leaving that said area null and void of talent when ball was retained

Hear their shout, hear their roar
They've probably had a barrel of ale and much, much more
Hooray, hooray, hooray, yeah
Over the hill went the swords of a thousand men

Re: Rudd Gullit on MOTD

I'm 100% the same tek...absolutely choking for jmac to find the extra string to his bow and take us to the next level... I'm no way wanting him to fail... No chance... Same with shifty....just want them to do well

Re: Rudd Gullit on MOTD

We do need to make some sort of change, even for away games if it means sitting in a bit and hitting on the counter. But as you correctly say just can't see Jackie changing much. I'm just not getting it anymore when we are crying out for even the slightest tactical change. Been like this ever since the games against St.mirren and St.johnstone last Christmas.

was speaking to brian laws (utd mad version) earlier, said the best performance this calender year was arguably Dundee at Dens...the first time they'd played us...the 2nd time they had our card marked imo
