So
Cifici's a liability
McDonald elbowed a Utd player once
Hunt's too old (34 btw not 36)
Sammon turned us down once
Next it'll be we can't sign ****** he has too many tattoos

Ciftci and McDonald would rip this league up for arse paper. Doubt we'll sign both or even one of them though.
Keatings out for six weeks so doubt we'll bring in an 'extra' striker - still need one more though and cant leave it until end of transfer window imo.

That six weeks takes us roughly to the end of the transfer window - wonder if the club can dress up his return as being 'just like us bringing in a new striker'?

Just through our recent history with rushing players back to early I hope we take out time with his recovery and get it right.9
Still need another striker and mcdonald would certainly for the mould required however doubtful the club be able to afford him.

Right enough Pat, could save a wage that we can't afford.
Can maybe appreciate the frustrations of McKinnon & Co at Tannadice. They know what we need but equally they know we're skint.
There must be so much player-related activity going on behind the scenes, phones red-hot, 18-hour days the norm.
It's never been more important to get the signings 100% right.

Mckinnon said he wants 4 first team strikers this season.
We currently have 2 (and only 1 fit one).
We still have nothing from the bench.
We need 2 Strikers asap.
But I'd rather be patient Tek & get the right one(s) rather than rushing into it & get a duffer for Sunday.
Yeah I know we've got the Fun in 9 days but I wouldn't get hooked on that (they're still sh!te this season anyway, I saw them v Bolton) and I'd rather see what's available at the end of August, I'll bet there could be some tasty options.

Again.
We have 1 (semi) fit striker.
If N'Koyi gets injured do we wait nearly 6 weeks?

The club have employed someone to find players. Hes had plenty time to identify targets. He has to get them in for Inverness game.
There will be an incredible amount of wheeling & dealing going on right now b&t, can you imagine the negotiations that will be going on, look at the Fyvie case, he & his agent are still going round in circles. I think we've just got to be patient & trust the management.
Offline
Not panicking yet however we know and I'm sure they do we need another 2 in to have them for 1 or 2 games before Inverness would have been good.

There has to be a striker brought in next week without fail. Then we can maybe wait on the next one, but not both. We cannot afford a slow start to the league campaign.

Whilst eh agree that we need a striker in, we're well into the window now so unless we're paying a fee fir somebody then any free agents will huv been snapped up or just irni that good. Gotta be very careful with the signings IMO

2 strikers required, the sooner the better imho.

Hello TekelTowers. Interested reader now a poster. So the striker positions looks like:
Keatings as "new signing" early Sep or Oct or Nov or Sep18 or whenever gets fit
McMillan from Dundalk in Jan so no transfer fee ( if no one wants him)
NKoyi as only striker till Sep not seen him but not many ringing endorsements so far
Backup plan looks like it's Mark Durnan to get a ht v Dundee.
Genius. Surely we can get someone in on a deal to Jan from somewhere e.g. Ciftci Hunt or some of the thousands of unattached players that have never played for us!
If Bell is going wish he would go to free up some money.
Or are we waiting for Armstrong to Southampton first?

Quite satisfied that the club acted upon my advice swiftly 😉
Now go and get a big burly Striker to compliment him and Keatings and we'll tear the division up this season.

Young striker eager to impress, gain experience and score goals. Hopefully turns out decent.
We've got four 'strikers' and usually only need one.
What's a fifth going to do apart from warm an already-overpopulated bench?
