This is the time he should be leaving. he's no likely to get another £76k per annum next year after having had 2 years on the sidelines - likely be the juniors for him. If he can get a 2 year deal or more from anyone, its got to be better than what he will get when his contract's up.

This isn't going to go down very well but I actually think he's not that bad.
So if he's completely fucking useless why are you expecting any club anywhere in the world to take him on? That doesn't reason does it?

In the Dev games he's been very comfortable & a leader on the park too.

You’re entitled to your opinion mate that what it’s all about.

Maybe in the development league where it’s less pressure he is a bit more secured in his performance but he is one of the highest earners in the squad and as such I need to see him earning his money in the first team, playing well week in week out.

However in my opinion 90% of the time he is on the pitch in a first team game he gets caught out, positioning is suspect and has a lack of concentration to get through 90mins without making a complete arse of it. Added to this he acts like a bairn out for a piss about with his pals rather than a professional athlete.

What have we become?

I've never boo'd the lad when he has played for us and never will however come on to f..., the boys all over the place and his biggest failing is his concentration.

The scary thing is that we have started accepting below par players like him.

Lets be honest years ago we were laughing at Dundee for signi g the likes of Lewis Toshney and Coll Donaldson whilst we had entertainers like Conway,GMS,Ciftci,Swanson etc etc.

The fans have to get back to DEMANDING a certain standard of player.

The fans who back the clubs every decision have been complicit in the continuing downward spiral.

what do you class as 'backing the club'? season ticket sales? shirt sales or just people who are positive about the season? genuinely interested.

Last season, Rmacs hands were tied - he was only able to piss with the cock that he has, This season, he's had a clear out and there are a lot of good attacking players in the team - with more apparently on the way? We aren't hibs, hearts or rangers and can't buy our way out of the league with budgets which dwarf other clubs. The club also look to be taking a bit of fiscal responsibility and have made cuts in several departments which coupled with the andy robertson cash, so see the club in a healthier position, come the season end, which is what we all want.

What more do you want from the club?

For clarification though i refer to those who back the club blindly and always try to put a positive spin on everything or defend every decision the club has taken that has seen our club living hand to mouth.

For example.

Thompson swanning off to Oz constantly = 'I don't care what his other business interests are'.

Appointing David Southern = 'Thompson can't run the club single-handedly.Sensible appointment'

Sacking Stevie Cambell = 'Was he really that good anyway?'

Giving Jmac+Co 10% of transfer fees = 'This is common practice in England.I don't have a problem with this'

Not sacking McNamara in the Summer of 2015 = 'Jackie deserves a clean-slate'

I could go on and on and on.

This acceptance of ever decreasing standards and an inability to question decisions made no matter how plainly destructive they have been have left us where we are.

what would you do differently this season? I don't really want to go into old arguments about the rights and wrongs etc as its been done to death and we are where we are - this can't be changed. However, what would you do differently which hasn't been done.....

for me, the sale/letting go of bell and replacing with untested keepers

generally, the squad is a lot more balanced
we have width
we have skill
our defence is improved with scobie and potentially quinn

agree with some of that TEK particularly around the handling of JM  who has gone on to prove his incompetence at York.but I stand by my comments about Steve Campbell. If he was such an asset why is he not employed  by a top club .
 

Maybe a part of his settlement with utd ?? Maybe hes to stay away from bigger clubs for a set time.

Im just surmising btw but that could be a reason.
