it depends what your looking in a player. Its a similar debate i was having anout 5yrs ago with experts in the GF lower (expensive seat section) about whether Rankin was better than Armstrong . Fraser will start everygame this year and then be sold for a million .
Are you really as much a pap in real life as you sound on here?
Expensive seat wow.
it doesn't take much to wind up the proletariat these days
Was that a wind up?

Spittal missed a penalty for Thistle yesterday, SM.
And I was only joking, guys, about picking out a scapegoat. Sorry the thread went this way.

And it's Deniz for me anyway, as he's a Turk and I was sold plastic shoes which were meant to be leather in Kusadasi.

Nope, up to you what you do but like I say it baffles me. If you don't understand the point I'm making then you're just different to me in how you look at some things.

Correct me if i'm wrong but i think the only thing Fraser has been slagged for is a lack of heart/fight and shiteing out of challanges other than the hairdo/hairband pish.
All fixable and easily put right if he wants.
I see him doing much better with new creative and attacking players in the team now but still want to see some fight and more determination. Doesn't have to become aggressive, just get in about and be less scared & be brave.
Scott Fraser has a great future and I'm looking forward to enjoying his last season at Tannadice.

Given Ray's fondness for 4-2-3-1, personally I can't see where Fraser plays in the team when everyone is fit.
Flood and Jordie will be the holding midfielders, Keatings is more suited to the no 10 due to the fact he'll score more goals.
Fraser has talent, but as plenty of others have said he need to work on his game when we don't have the ball.
I honestly don't know how we'll set up or how it will go, but if you add another striker, possibly Quinn and then Willo and Murdoch to Saturday's squad, we've got a very decent starting XI and at least options from the bench this season.

he is the most talented player at tannadice. the league is full of players who charge about getting the boot. players like Fraser are matchwinners. he will be the number1 target for opposition thugs this season as they know what i have just typed is true. it takes a clown to abuse your best player.
Is he?
Got a funny way of showing it on last season's watching.
How many matches has he win us
QOS away 4-1 win, was outstanding that day scored and assisted.
St Mirren at hame 2-1 win- Donaldson's Last nail in his coffin, scored and assist.
Dumbarton at hame 2-1 win- his 2 corners leading ti oor goals.
That's just aff the tap oh me and the young lads hade, maste fans huv made up their minds and wini admit things they cani accept which is fine, opinions and ah that. Sum of the stick he gets is way overboard IMO.
Really hard to believe that BigAndyFTD would so undersell his love child
Fraser also MoM
1st Hibs game (a) drew 1-1
1st St Midden game (a) won 2-0
Falkirk home game (Durnan scored) won 1-0
Other top Fraser games
QoS (H) 3-3 the most creative player on show
Raith (h) won 3-0
Some fans don't like him cos he's not a hard man in the middle, some don't like him cos he doesn't run around like a headless chicken, some don't like him cos he not a great defender but conveniently ignore that he was by far and away our most creative player. The only other player that got close for creativity got 7 games at the tailend of the season and punted before he could extend his unbeaten run to 8 games.
If Fraser did all the other stuff as well as he does the creative bit, he wouldn't be at Tannadice, a bigger club would be snapping him up. The key person in all this Is Ray. If only he would set up his team to play to individuals strengths and not their weaknesses, we'd be doing a lot better

Felt Keatings looked better when N'Koi came on allowing him to drop deap. Early days I know butbN'Koi looked a bit clumsy to me so hoping we get another striker in.

In my opinion the reason we get frustrated with Frazer is not because he not a "hard man" it's because he often does not look after the ball well enough and gets bullied and shoved about a wee bit too much.
I have a wee feeling this is his season and it will need to be at 22 year old with his contract up at the end of the season.

Fraser is avery good player. Some excellent on the ball skills, turns etc. But for me, CCX has hit on something which is something I've noticed, not about his playing ability or skill.
For me too often, he tries to do it all himsell, hangs onto the ball too long, when he should be passing the ba. This inevitably ends up with losing possession. Setirday 1st half he's took the ba to the halfweh line, and meets 3 Raith players, he tries to keep the ba OK, but King's standin 6 yaerds fae him, and he does'na pass. Tries a couple oe fancy turns - it's never gonna work - and loses the ba, then we have Raith chargin toward oor goal.
Thankfully on Setirday, there was a pivotal moment, when he got the ba fae King, and running along the by-line, put it our to McMullan. If he was to dae this, just a few times mair, we might get a few mair goals.
Excellent post # 96 Annan, you're on the button.

Agree. Think this should be the job of Ray and his coaching staff - there is a talent there we should be getting more from and some deficiencies we should be getting less of.

Precisely. That is exactly why they aren't.
Fraser was getting talked up as attracting attention about midway thro the season was he not? Then he maybe went out injured & the talk subsided. He could well be the focus of attention this season but he's only a season left on his contract so no financial reward for the club. Unless he hits form early & we get £200k for him at Xmas or something?

It's meh understanding that there is still 'firm' interest in Fraser even as recent as this summer, but Ray hus said he'd rather he leaves in Jan fir less or even fir nothing come the seasons end (he'll be 23). Also club tried to talk aboot new contract last season but Fraser and his agent/agents shut that doon immediately.

A semi decent start to the season and he will be off in this transfer window for no more than £200000 in my opinion.
Other clubs no we are desperate for cash and around that price it's a gamble worth taking for any club with a few bob.

See Fraser, if he could put on a bit of weight, and lose some hair, he may aspire to be the next Fatty Harkins.

We should just keep him till the seasons end.
We would be due a development fee anyway.
Maybe you could do a Christian Dailly Shedboy & go in volountarily as the No 10 specialist coach?
