I know Ray has a lot of folk to convince, myself included, but as I remember it, what he actually said at the January window was "We're working on signings that will excite the fans, IF we can pull them off!"
I agree that's what he said but he needs to realise the weight his words carry.
As the manager of a club like ours ifs and buts are no use.
He should only make these statements when he is certain.
That was my point as to why a lot of supporters have fair justification in thinking he is spouting pish as ultimately, that's what he done in january
Probably why he's talking about "probably needing to add 2 or 3 players".
Think he has heard, been told or read what fans make of his words so maybe playing it safe on hope and promise.
Some of you are keen to be right, some give no fuck about being right, maist just want the best for the team.
Getting his tactics wrong, timing of subs wrong in the opinion of the fans doesn't necessarily mean he's making an arse of building the squad and squad issues are justified by the former.
RMcK would gladly talk about bringing in more and better coverage on all positions but whats publically said is obviously tactful and said in a way to be realistic whilst keeping those above him less hated, those who control the cash.
Not saying give him a break or see him as magic but if you knew the constraints he's under we might not berate him so much.
Everyone knows how much we are struggling in terms if finance and he hasnt his the fact it was hard to attract some players to the championship last season so we do or those who don't should know.

Wonder who the black fella is on this vid who is sitting down beside McMullan.
Don't know his name but pretty sure he was # 15 in the 1st half v Peterhead.

Who's the bearded fella right at the end beside Robson?
Scott Fraser's twin brother?

Thats Ballantyne. Not sure who the other beardy boy is though sittin on his own. Looks like fucking Isco.
No it's definitely McMullan mate.
The unkown trialist high fives him after he has done his run.
The boy sitting down right beside Robson at the very end is 100% Ballantyne.

I am talking about the player beside the unknown trialist.
Which is Paul McMullan.

Dom Thomas would be a good signing. I was impessed by him anytime I saw him against us last season. Competition for the wide position is good.
Signs for Killie

There's a bearded lad sitting on his own, that I really don't recognise

The guy that high fives McMullan first is supposedly Micah Edwards according to another forum.

It could be that but 4 are injured. I think it is Bell, Flood, Murdoch and one other.

A Quote from the NW Evening Mail on the Barrow AFC v Motherwell Game, - "At the back, Barrow’s trialist right-back was doing a fine job of going about trying to earn himself a deal with an energetic display before being taken off at half-time and Burnley loanee Jimmy Dunne was slotting in well alongside Diarra in the centre of defence" - Here's hoping that Coll is having a few freak good turn outs down there..

Gald it's a 1 year contract. His words on Arabzone to describe himself were in short, "box to box player, a lot of running & tackle, good long ball, tactically can see the things, a lot of duals (tools maybe, dutch english) and wants to be the Champion at United, that's the 1st thing."
Sounds like a player we can do with, words are fine so we will see soon enough.
Looking at footage he seems to have done what he talks of but again footage is only the good bits.

As long as we get a fee i am ok with that.
If we just release him to allow him to move McKinnon can fuck right off.

Kilmarnock want Bell.
And as they are as skint as us i would imagine that can only happen if we rip up his contract.
I will be conpletely pissed off if we do.

Same as yon Polish defender we let go home cos his wife was wearing the trousers a few years back. Should've demanded a fee. Obviously we want him off the wage bill. Infuriating !!
