Re: Signings this week!!

Looked through a list on Congolese strikers, when someone mentioned the Van der Hoorn connection, he was one of the few to have played in Holland, so thought it may be him. Got a decent goalscoring record over there, looking forward to seeing what he brings.

Re: Signings this week!!

I'm puzzled: how come he signed a contract with a team in the Far East 12 days ago, and he's now signed on with us? Transfermkt usually get these details correct.

Looks decent on the YouTube clips, did Jackie recommend him?

Hopefully he's Hat-trick Patrick.

Never heard oh um so will wait ti see um play , just hope he turns oot better than oor previous Dutch players...

Interesting interview he basically admits he's no very good on the ball, only good in the box which is fair enough fir a striker, eh think he'll probably be a plan B the likes of we're struggling in a gem bringing on a big strike partner, might be wrang.

Hope.your wrong

Last thing we should be doing is signing back up players. We need boys ready to fight for a place is starting 11 every week to get us up

Re: Signings this week!!

Glad to have another Striker on the books and heartened to read McKinnon say he wants 4 strikers in the 1st team squad.....Hallelujah!!About fucking time we had some attacking options.

Never heard of big Paddy but has played for some good teams and has a decent scoring ratio.

Looks good on those Youtube clips (but they always do eh?) but very much a penalty box forward.

Don't see many headers in there.Seems to be more someone who will finish instinctively from close range.

Ach we'll see how he goes.Hopefully he offers a lot more than our last few recruits from Holland (Bilate,Bodul,VDV etc).

p.s. i would like to know what happened with the Thai mob.Why did he depart so quickly? The question needs asked tbh.

P.p.s. looks quite a lot like big Edjenguele. They could pass for brothers (no pun intended).

Definitely doesn't look like a 'Target Man' more of an all rounder. Bit of pace about him too to be fair (YouTube though). Interesting to see how he does hopefully he gets a wee run out on Tuesday up at Montrose (v Sean Dillon).

Squad starting to take shape now. A few more signings and we are looking strong. Fingers crossed this team can gel quickly and hit the ground running.

Also would assume (hope) that DT did full homework on the situation.

Re: Signings this week!!

So now we have

.                            Bell
Murdoch.     Durnan.      Edge.       Scobbie
McMullan.      Flood.     Fraser.        King
                      Keatings.   N'Koyi

Long, Donaldson, Toshney, Robson, Allardice, Ballantine, B Smith, M Smith

RB, CH, Winger & CF def required imo. GK, CM & another striker wouldn't go amiss, along with Donaldson leaving.

7 might not happen but can't disagree with this. Would probably need to exceed the 4000 season ticket target by more than likely for RMcK and DT to manage that or Andy Robertson to transfer and the cash to go towards promotion.

Was in the shop about half an hour ago, one boy in front of me bought two kids and an adult, one boy got rubbered for a student one and I bought my young lad one.

I suppose they could've been busy earlier in the day, it could go like a fair tomorrow, but the latest update on the numbers suggests they need to shift 617 between today and tomorrow to break the 4k barrier.

We won't get 7 signings no matter how many STs we sell, it's just what I reckon we need to give us the title.  The right 4 signings and very little injuries and we may have enough, the right people are crucial tho, as last year proved.

Re: Signings this week!!

The 4k mark doesn't need to be  broken by end of play today.

I think they'll pass 4k by first league game.

Re: Signings this week!!

If you're buying in the GF lower, there's pretty much no real benefit in buying today, hand over £345 to save about 83p a game.

Re: Signings this week!!

Mikkelson signed two year deal with Ross County

Re: Signings this week!!

Yeah a good move for him & us & I don't mean that badly.
He was ok here but we need a new broom.
There are a good few Mikkelsons in the sea.
He'll be happy up there, it's a good club to play for.

Re: Signings this week!!

All the best to him at County. He was a good player but dont see any reason why we cant find equal or better quality than him.

Was great when not looking for a foul after every challenge in the air.

Re: Signings this week!!

Glad Mikkelsen's not coming to us again, we do need another striker in, but he really wasn't  the answer.

Re: Signings this week!!

he was a 5/10 player. if county fans are looking for a like for like replacement for Boyce they will be majorly dissapointed

Feel a bit relieved but depends on who we bring in up front on top of N'Koyi.

Felt like at best he might compilment another better striker in a service style.

Lost hope in him as time went on and don't like to see players looking for shitey fouls in a Suttony Boydish fashion.

Good luck to him though.
