Admin/liquidation 2 coming seemingly. Cue multiple The The Airdrie and SEVCO 2 jokes. Wee crowds, big overheads, stuck in lower division, poor ownership not giving a straight answer. Sound familiar?

Another club who have suffered from a whole generation of fans not actually wanting to actually go to games I fear.

They're Airdrieonians again, rather than Airdrie FC, this on the back of Sevco being allowed to call themselves The Rangers.
And mind, it was David Murray who killed off the first version of Airdrieonians, over an unpaid bill to one of his many companies (£30,000): he arrested Airdrie's share of the cup tie cash from the Tannadice game in 2000.
Roll on to 2012, did we ever get the cash from dead Rangers for that cup match?
I think it's Airdrieonians having a full time status which has put them into this situation, coupled with the bloke who bought into the club now bailing out, leaving them with a set up they cannot afford.
Andy Ryan scored 27 goals for them last season:still only 22, we could be vulture like and move in there soon.

I hope Airdrie survive.
As a town it has nothing going for it (and i say that as someone from East Kilbride).
To lose their football club would be a sad blow for the town and inparticular their small, loyal core support.

Murray speaking in 2000:
Mr Murray said: "I feel very sorry for Airdrie and their supporters but we're running a business. We have given them repeated warnings and felt they were playing on our good nature."
Oh the irony eh.
