Re: Willo dud

Bit unfair, Bowers, giving him that nickname: whether I'm happy about the prospect of him staying is another thing.

You were doing so well - didn't mind/fully expected the reference to your love child - it wouldn't be you otherwise but to suggest that Telfer is twice the footballer of anyone on the planet is stretching things just a bit too far. I wish I could predict which team we are going to come up against most often next season then wish that Telfer would sign for them to give us some easy points  As for my 3rd wish - cant decide between Ray and his boss.

Bring back the (real) "United Way" not the kiddy-on Martin version

Re: Willo dud

Flood loves the club, he's no the worst but fuck me he's certainly no the worst, for me if you put a creative kind of player beside flood we'll be aright

Re: Willo dud

Hes past it. Thanks for your efforts willo but time to move on.

Re: Willo dud

Hopefully he feels he cannot stay at the club without his pal Dillon.

He said in an interview when he signed that Mcinnes said he can always have a place at Aberdeen and can do his coaching badges there.

Fuck off Willo, no offense but great start needed for United.

Annan, thought id try and gee Telfer a little but oh credit. My main point being Flood gets away with a lot fae our support and its time he just says his goodbyes along we his Irish pal.

Re: Willo dud

Hearing that Flood new deal will be signed/announced when back fae holiday, reduced terms this year , same was offered to Dixon who obviously didn't want it.

Re: Willo dud

So so far McKinnon has offered new deals to Willo,Dixon and is in talks with Telfer and Spittal.

He doesn't have a fucking clue what he's doing.

Re: Willo dud

Do telfer and spittal need to be have been offered a deal in order for us to get compensation if they sign for somebody else? I'd imagine spittal won't be short on offers...maybe telfer less so. Willo and Dixon I'd not be too bothered about either way as long as it's on our terms.

Ps disappointed this thread wasn't called 'Willo Fud'

Re: Willo dud

Actually that's a good point Tangy (about the Development fee) i never considered that.

I would be ok with keeping Spittal btw (still think there's something there).

Telfer offers nothing though and Dixon and Flood are finished.Offering they 2 a deal of any kind worries me.

It tells me McKinnin is ok with mediocrity.

I may be wrong but i think they need to come up through our youths. Weve already paid compo for them to their parent clubs.

Re: Willo dud

If Spittal stays, so be it, he's not a bad footballer.

Telfer looked a player 2 years ago, he doesn't look as good now, but did well at times last season but couldn't command a regular place, seems strange to want to keep him.

Flood, I don't believe is finished, he can still run like the Duracell bunny for 90 minutes, what needs to happen if he stays tho, is that he is used properly and he gets disciplined and plays where he's meant to be playing.  He doesn't suit a 4231 imo as he gets caught heading wide too close down when he shouldn't be far too often.  If we played 442 with him and Fraser centrally he'd have to stay central and just patrol in front of the CB's.  I'd still like better instead but that's easier said than done.

Re: Willo dud

I've read a lot of places about 'of flood can be more disciplined'
Is he not 32 now?
He's spent all his career at all his clubs with no positional discipline.
Why do we think he will now start?
Every mistake he makes, he blames someone else.
These aren't the actions of someone ready to address their shortcomings.

Like tek says it's a serious concern what ray sees compared to everyone else based on who is offering deals to

Re: Willo dud

Flood's a headless chicken out there and pulls down others around him by being constantly out of position. Needs to move on or we'll have more of the same next year.

Re: Willo dud

I like Telfer but the bigger the clearout the better chance we have of improving next season, wish him well but bye bye.

I hope he leaves but offering him a contract is right thing to do.

Telfer is gone i am hearing.  His choice.

Whys it the right thing to do? Weve rewarded mediocrity far too much recently and thats what we're doing again if floods offered a new deal.
