I actually quite enjoyed that tonight. Easy to see why Wato hasn't made it at any club he's been at. If you can't take a (justified) bollocking on a football field you'll never get anywhere even if you've got ability. It looked to me that the big boy up front kept putting Durnan under pressure at high balls so he was struggling to win headers cleanly but they kept picking up the second balls with Kuate nowhere to be seen. It looks like Durnan and Dillon had had enough and both gave him a rollocking and Wato has reacted. Durnan then tried to apologise and tried to gee him up but Wato just lost the plot. Total Gunning stuff when he went off (I actually wish the fans had stayed silent rather than giving him an excuse to react, it was more than he deserved after that carry on and his performance in general tonight). United weren't great but there is no denying they are working hard and physically we still look good despite the busy schedule. I've given Willo Flood stick at games recently but the Willo of old turned up tonight. Outstanding. Hamilton haven't remotely changed since I first seen them play in the Premiership in 2008. They take 'gamesmanship' i.e. diving, cheating, timewasting, mouthing constantly to the extreme. Anti-football bastards. Of course the utterly inept officials were taken right in by it. How these people justify getting paid almost a grand a game is beyond me. On to Sunday. One last effort. Can't wait.

"BK" (i.e before Kuate), United were in relegation form with 4 wins in 18 games, we had a few games where we had more bookings than shots and the prospect of even getting thru' our 1st play off match was remote to say the least. I had written United off and think I was far from being alone with that view
Things changed, IMO, when Kuate got into the team. All of a sudden we had someone who was comfortable in possession, capable of winning his challenges and ready able and willing to make a forward pass and even better most of them went to a team-mate. We went from having less than single figure attempts on goal to over 20 per game. I now started to think United had a good chance of going up.
Clearly Kuate is not the finished article as his home game v Falkirk and today's game showed. However as a new, young and inexperienced player, he could have been managed better. The opinion of a lot of fans was that he should have been hooked at half time. Anyway it now looks as if he has gone and
no doubt some other club will get the benefit of his talents and other characteristics in future.
The problem for United is that Kuate seemed to be our only hope. When he was subbed in the Fakirk and Hamilton games, no one else stepped up to the mark to create the chances that he created when he was playing well and we are now back at the stage we we at "BK" - clueless as to creating chances and crossing fingers that our bad defending isn't punished. Our only hope now is that we man the barricades, get a shut out and hope that Cammy can re-create the magic of his Dunfermline game. I would dearly love to be proved wrong but someone's who hasn't done so all season is going to have to step up to the mark or we get some lucky break along the way

Kuate will be gone tomorrow, boys hopeless and an idiot.
Murrays dive was pathetic, and that's cost us tonight. It's no excuse for the linesman to get the other penalty decision so wrong and then McLean to compound it by giving a second yellow for simulation right enough. McKinnons already confirmed the appeal will go in, if that appeal isn't won we'd be aswell just shutting Scottish footballs doors.
Anyone's game on Sunday, but we'll win it.
Just watched recording and it was said if we appeal it won't be heard until next Thursday so Murray will play pending appeal.

Annan i really enjoy reading your long and thoughtful posts tbh and again you are not to wide of the mark for me.
Yes,Wato had a shocker tonight and his meltdown was both embarrassing and cringeworthy in equal measures.
But yet i did see some really good stuff from him in his short time at the club.
Not just his wonder strike against Morton but also as recently as Friday past when i felt he drove us on versus Falkirk away (in the 2nd half)
.So in that regard i am a bit dismayed that it has all went tits up quite so suddenly.
Infact i have never seen a Utd player fall from grace quite so quickly i don't think.
Even when Gunning picked the ball up and was never to be seen again at Utd, that was the straw that broke the camels back (so to speak) in regards to his professionalism (or lack thereof) at Utd.A culmination of over 2 years of nonsense.
Wato was adored just 2 weeks ago after that 2nd leg v Morton.
Following game v Falkirk at Tannadice he was dreadful.
And (again) started that way again at Falkirk away.
BUT 2nd half was immense.
Most regrettable as i still think there's 'something' there to be honed .
But 2 minutes of hot-headedness tonight have killed his career stone dead.
Seems to be the Utd way when we have a rough diamond though, alas.

Fucking nail biting stuff that wad horrid to watch
As we have seen in too many games this season we couldnt take our chances couple cracking saves from accies keeper.
They are dirty cunts.

Wato was having a mare an RM should have had him off at half time. He is clearly still quite immature but has raw talent and that has to be managed. However, taking the huff like that is not on. Just accept you've been pish and get off and let your team mate have a go. Pity as there is a player in there.
As for the game, agree we were pish in the first half but still could have scored a couple. Second half, much better. Going to be nail-biting stuff on Sunday!

Only a few played at a decent level for us: Accies better than I expected, but overall, two poor football teams on the night.
Officials were dismal, especially the boy from Bo'ness with the flag.

Bound to be a hun.

Shame about wattie karate.
I see him in a similar way to ciftci - mad as a harder but potential to get him onto a game. Poor response though and has only really played well for short times. I thought his arrogance was a good thing for the team but turns out it was too much. Glad we saw it before he got a contract though.
Onwards and upwards though. Still in with a great chance and fingers crossed donati and imrie will be out for the return leg

Ray saying different on the zone, going from what he's saying I wouldn't be surprised if he had some involvement on Sunday

Much like the Falkirk home game I was pretty pleased to come away with a draw last night, I thought they were a yard quicker, more composed on the ball and had the better chances, lucky not to go in 0-2 at half time IMO.
I do think the pressure is all on the home teams in these ties, particularly the second leg if the home team isn't in front going into it.
I think we'll win on Sunday.

Sitting fuming about the Murray second booking and failure to award a penalty: in that instant we are down to ten, and denied a clear opportunity to take the lead. But potentially it can have a knock on effect on many other outcomes.
However, this is what's annoying me: we (and Hamilton) are not the elite of the Scottish game as teams, but these officials are supposed to be, they go away and represent Scotland in European matches, and nothing will change after their performances and mistakes last night. That Chambers guy's had over fifty foreign trips for free on the basis of his football skills.
Surely we can produce better than these guys?

Got a lot of sympathy for the boy, yes he was wrong etc but like Tek said surely that can't spell the end fof him!
He was very poor though last night and I'd have subbed him at HT for Telfer.
We are beating them on sunday I'm 100% positive

Think we need to change the formation for the 2nd game, thought we were outnumbered in midfield.
I'd go with:
Bell
Murdoch Durnan Edge Dixon
Allardice
Flood Spittal
Andreu
Mikkelson Murray

Kuate was told to leave this morning, Murray given clearance from SFA to play pending appeal hearing.

He is, it's also not the first (or second, third etc) howler he's had. The boys useless so is the clown Potter on the other side. Had personal experience of both and they are both arrogant, clueless and don't understand the game. It's scary that boys like that get to this level, when there guys who were far superior that were denied progress because the SFA didn't think their day job was good enough to move them up.
Chambers was the Lino when Lafferty got the sheep boy sent off, should have been sacked that day.

Looked like he raised his flag in an annoyed reaction to Murray running and shouting at him. Watch the timing of it.

The 2 officials were talking to each other straight away, he raised his flag because he convinced ref it was a dive and ref told him to make decision known. He signalled for a foul, the alleged dive, not for Murrays dissent as that wouldn't have resulted in the flag being pointed up the park.
I actually don't mind them taking a couple of seconds to make a decision, it does look daft, but if they get it right it doesn't matter. When they get it so wrong tho it just looks shambolic.

The guy Chambers was a postie for years after he left school, but now works for Falkirk Council as a kids coach: I don't think it's always the job that gets them a position with the SFA, more likely their social affiliations, if you know what I mean.

Aftet having a brief look at the TV footage, oncr again Bull-T Sport letting the side down again, with their "WE ARE DUNDEE" and "THE DEES" p1sh strewn thru the programme.
