United v Accies, Thursday 25th May

I have a fixation, I know, but the referee is Steven McLean (Sunday is Craig Thomson).

McLean's covered only two United matches this season, two of our best performances arguably, Thistle at home and QoS 1-4 away. I don't think he's the worst Scottish referee, and hopefully we'll not have to be concerned about his performance anyway.

In the four play off ties to date, the standard of officiating hasn't been that bad, has it?

Madden infuriated me against Falkirk - booked Durnan for fuck all then and let various other things go.  McLean is usually pretty good.  Let's just hope Thomson has one of his better days on Sunday!

Ray saying in Tully that Flood, Murray Mikkelson will all be OK.

Toshney definitely out though so try to contain your disappointment...

I was gonna ask of you were sure it was Toshney but the running about like fuck certainly sounds like him.

Maybe it's a cunning plan by Ray - Hamilton will think Toshney is out and be lulled into a false sense of security...

Re: United v Accies, Thursday 25th May

Hearing the day that both Mikkelson and flood will start the gem.

Fraser won't be involved tomorrow but RM is very hopeful he'll be available fir Sunday incase we dina get the right result the morra, fair play to the laddie (lots question his commitment)

Murdoch also pushing fir Sunday, but definitely no the morra.

Re: United v Accies, Thursday 25th May

I'd just like to see Kuate and Flood, nice and disciplined doing their thing in def mid area making sure the Durnan/Edje are protected and then getting the ball forward quickly and often. I'd also like to see defenders closing down opponents and taking zero risks at the back (Dillo - this means you) . Confident our strikers can score if they get a reasonable amount of service. The only thing we have to fear is reverting to the game plan we played in the 2nd half of the season. Preferable to have a lead going into 2nd leg but not essential as the Falkirk game showed.

Bring back the (real) "United Way" not the kiddy-on Martin version

Re: United v Accies, Thursday 25th May

The opposition the night were a total bunch of cheating chunts. They should be renamed Hammerthrowin Amateurs. I thought there was a sniper in the crowd, coz everytime ane oe them went doon, they acted like they'd been phuckin shot. Thought they were gonna tak Imrie to the Stroke centre at Ninewells.

WTF was goin on we Kuate. He'd had a poor gehm. Gave away ba efter ba in the  1st half. Shoulda been aff at half-time. He'd let a ba thru, then looked like Dillon was hae'in a right go at him. Looked like him and Dillon were hae'in a right barmy, then ah oe a sudden Durnan involved ana. Ehrums raised and waving aboot ah place. Next thing you see is McKinnon shouting at him and waving him our to the touchline, and shoutin at Telfer to get back to the dugoot. Nae surprise he got hooked, but he then does a Gunning arguing we Edge, then trotting toward the tunnel. Canna see him in Tangerine again. He's had the Kuate chop.

Wonder if some oh you boys in the ET could confirm what went on the box, and what Kuate was gesturing as he went inta the tunnel.

Looked like a DEFO penalty to me. And actually thought that McLean was gonna gie it. But the phuckin GF lino never flagged it. So when Murray had a right go at him, then McLean showed the 2nd Yellow - for dissent? Dinna think we can we appeal that can we?

Re: United v Accies, Thursday 25th May

Kuate will be gone tomorrow, boys hopeless and an idiot.

Murrays dive was pathetic, and that's cost us tonight.  It's no excuse for the linesman to get the other penalty decision so wrong and then McLean to compound it by giving a second yellow for simulation right enough.  McKinnons already confirmed the appeal will go in, if that appeal isn't won we'd be aswell just shutting Scottish footballs doors.

Anyone's game on Sunday, but we'll win it.

There is an argument to be made that the first dive cost him.  Even so they've got to rescind the red card surely??

Re: United v Accies, Thursday 25th May

From the BBC match report.........

"But the manager's stare was soon being trained on Wato Kuate instead after an act of ill-discipline that McKinnon later confirmed will "absolutely" spell the end of the midfielder's United career."
