Right folks, now the dust has settled from the euphoria last night, who do we want to face in the final?

ICT have been honking all season but if they escape automatic relegation they will be on a high.

Accies have been up and down and are on a bad run, however you have to factor in their shitey pitch and they fact they still probably have better players than us right now.

So, who do we want?

Accies - lowest goals for in top flight at 33 (less than a goal a game) whereas Caleys relatively respectable 41 looks a bit more threatening.

Plus Malpas will be sorting ICTs defense out.

accies

been thinking about scottish play offs, the 2nd bottom SPL team are used to playing better opposition so should win. the other angle is that the championship team have been used to winning by finishing 2/3/4th and also doing well in play offs, where the SPL team have had a tough season of losing more than they win. They also have more to lose (debatable as players have SFA loyalty to clubs nowadays)

If Inverness find a way into play offs, they could be on a high which rules out the above point

either way, hoping/praying/begging united find a way to win this

Inverness isnt much better but the grass pitch and scenery on the a9 wins it.

Both are beatable and there are advantages to playing Inverness but as you said in your opening post Slateford, ICT have been dead and buried for ages and if they could miraculously get out of 12th on the last day they will be on a real high.

ICT better than Hamilton fir me, but playing Hamilton on that plastic pitch with the injuries we've already got could be disaster.

Hamilton's home form is actually pretty good, 5th best in Premiership, better than St Johnstone and Partick, but those two have had an extra two or three home games against top 6 teams of course.

Their away form is shocking though.

The fact Templeton is hitting form worries me.

You can just forsee the script being written that he keeps us down after not offering him a deal.

Depends - Accies and him hitting form or fun dreaming of beaches.

Latter more likely - it's the guys first competitive game.

Plus ICT mysteriously hit form as well when the team they're playing have fuck all at stake.

A pattern possibly?

We got similarly better results against 'safe' sides at the end of last season.

Accies will be encouraged by that today, but, if our injuries aren't too bad, we'll do this.

Accies have two starters from today injured for Thursday, one of those two, and another starter from today are suspended for Sunday.
