Mind oe him only vaguely. Him and his m8 Arthur were Twa Brah Lads.

Hahaha, quality! 😁

That tickled me too. I could imagine him accidentally scoring after a fresh air swipe that goes in aff his erse thinking he's scored an OG that fkn counts for us.

Beardy23, did you just wake up n post that or were you up all night till 0430 conjuring a plan bud? 😄😉

Creative thinking required.  Now or never.

Was thinking of a similiar formation and side LAO.

I worked in Birrells shoe shop in the overgate (late 60's) and sold him a pair of cowboys boots. He came in wearing his stetson

Re: Falkirk v DUFC - Friday 19th May 7.45pm

I'm taking it this Denis Clancy dressed as a cowboy: we had one in Larbert/Stenhousemuir who used to go around the streets wearing holstered six guns. And a Manchester United scarf.

Doubt you'd get away with that now. Both the guns and the scarf.

I've gone for a three at the back as well: any formation I'm picking avoids using Dillon and Donaldson.

Thought about putting Dixon to rb, as, in my book, a full back should be able to cover both sides. Also considered Flood there, but his energy and experience will be important in midfield. Wish he'd trust others to do their jobs, though it must be frustrating seeing people making mistakes and failing to cover.

Wide left is an issue, Fraser maybe isn't fit for ninety, but perhaps we could start him there. Telfer has been in a lot of successful starting elevens over the season, so went for him.

                      Bell

    Durnan    Edge       Dixon

Spittal   Flood   Kuate   Telfer

                 Andreu

      Mikkelsen      Murray

Subbies: Zwick  Robson  Allardice   Coote    Fraser    Donaldson    Dillon

He was a popular Scottish tenor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTDTAsnTwrk

His aforementioned mate was accordionist Arthur Spink, hence the Twa Braw Lads, the title of one of their albums from 1965.

My apologies, TEK and others, this should really be elsewhere in the forum......

Re: Falkirk v DUFC - Friday 19th May 7.45pm

One other thing for McKinnon to consider is this will be our FIFTH game in just THIRTEEN days.

Maybe one or 2 changes and freshening things up will be vital (albeit there's very little options).

Agreed.  The team I put up would have 3/4 changes in it.  The team needs to be freshened up or they'll be dead on their feet after an hour on Friday.

Too much commotion

Re: Falkirk v DUFC - Friday 19th May 7.45pm

I just hope we go for it.  I honestly felt on Tuesday that had we got a second Falkirk would have crumbled.  They did nothing until they scored the first and that gave them huge confidence whilst we went back into our shells as usual.

I'd much rather see us trying to go out and win the game and lose, than try and keep things tight and lose anyway.

Telfer and Dixon are probably the obvious changes from a 'fresh legs' point of view. Doesn't look like Fraser is fit enough to start.

Hope Coote isn't injured

Didnae sleep well, normally I'm quite relaxed, I think I'll feel worse about this by kick off time than if we get through to the Final.

Seen something about coote on twitter about not being injured. Whats the story with this?

Heard quite a few tales, from Coote being upset that he was deemed injured by the club for Tuesday (which seems unlikely) to his pals taking a rise out of him due to his mum's comments on social media.

Re: Falkirk v DUFC - Friday 19th May 7.45pm

Dixon for Robson and Dillon for Murdoch

Looks to be same formation - hope Ray has called this right but think we really needed more of a change

Goal should have stood.
