Re: Dundee United v Falkirk

That's fucking piss poor.  We should be selling out the ET, GF and JK for a game like this.

Too much commotion

Re: Dundee United v Falkirk

Kinda glad we are at home first as we'll know exactly what is required on Friday. Was dreading RM trying to play it cagey if we were away first,  and coming away with another 3 nil. That said, I think we should keep the foot on the gas if we get a couple of goals up. I worry that McKinnon would settle for a 2 goal lead and that's asking for trouble IMO

Sales are on a par with the last game then. Unless mair buy on the day yer right. Should be at least 8-9000 for a game as important.

I can understand folk saying they aren't coming back until something changes to a point. Just don't think the playoffs are a time to boycott. SPFL are taking a slice that dilutes the effect on ST if that's a factor. Team needs support at a time like this.

If we are down a 3rd the fans present should make an extra effort to be louder.

Sure I'm not the only one thinking this and if it happens and they are not missed it will only make the those running the club feel better.

Think about it.

Re: Dundee United v Falkirk

Crowd was 6606 on Friday?

There's no danger we've sold less tickets than Friday surely, approx 1k Morton there?

Going by reported sales for Morton game about 1500-2000 bought tickets/paid at the gate on the night, would expect more tomorrow espescially since they've actually announced there's a cash gate tomorrow.  There was just over 700 Morton supporters there. There'll be upwards of 8k tomorrow, pity I can't make it.

Re: Dundee United v Falkirk

United have sold 4200 tickets
Falkirk have sold 1500 tickets

5700 plus I'd reckon at least 1300 PATG.

Should be a good atmosphere.

Re: Dundee United v Falkirk

Needs to either play Andreu in the number 10 role or not at all - be tempted to take him off and put Fraser on

Great goal but totally underserved. Let's take advantage

Loving spittle at the moment. Couldn't give a fk how we are playing, all about the result here.

Re: Dundee United v Falkirk

Delighted to come away with a draw there tbh, thought we were second best for 75% of that match, didn't really see how close Mikk was at the end but could have stole it but also couldn't see why there last one was offside and I was very close to that.

Typical United though, absolute opposite of the second half on Friday night, Wato went from motm to almost the worst hour I've seen from a united player at Tannadice, if memory serves he was at fault for both goals.

Thought most players poor tbh, Tony in flashes was decent and at least wanted the ball, Spittal was good too with another great goal, probably the best of ours on the night?   Murray started brilliantly then was quiet, Dixon played well in the short time he was on.

Thought Mikkelson, Durnan, Edge, Kuate, Telfer and Robson all very poor tonight.  Dillon, Flood and Bell just about broke even for me, none of them great.

Re: Dundee United v Falkirk

Truing to be positive, and its a stretch, but at least we're still in the tie.

Will really need to improve on Friday and I reckon it'll take some serious changes.

Re: Dundee United v Falkirk

Possession 49%-51%
Attempts    12 - 11
On target      7- 7
Goals             2- 2
Effort        50%-50% I'd say

Not the result I hoped for.

All to play for.

Feel hopeful and wonder how we'd do protecting a lead compared to what we have.

Will be tough but we've a chance.

Re: Dundee United v Falkirk

Affy lucky the night.

Tony Andreu either plays 10 or he sits on the bench, offers nuhin oot wide (no his fault)
Murray started well, less said aboot his control and movement the better.
Robson looked very suspect yet again, needs dropped
Bell at fault for there 2nd IMO
Spittal usual again fir me, slow-negative-no skill/creativity. Pops up we a goal.
Telfer is the worst sub ever, every time he comes on he's p!ish and we get worse.

Re: Dundee United v Falkirk

Said before the important thing was to be competitive and we ended up being competitive. They didna beat us and we get to go again. We know how they'll play - they play the same way every time - we need to have a game plan to counter them. Dont lets have another St Johnstone final. Bobby Madden didn't let me down, no card for the player that nailed Murdoch, no card for the tackle on Willo, no penalty for the barge on Murray, Durnan gets booked for being fouled and the Falkirk cheat holding his face despite there being zero contact with his face.

Bring back the (real) "United Way" not the kiddy-on Martin version

Re: Dundee United v Falkirk

Couldn't be there tonight so watched on TV. First half was terrible, the goal apart. We seemed incapable of keepinvg the ball. Murray just puts his head down then shoots. He needs to learn to look up and assess the options. Andreu was better tonight but pisses me off with his first time flicks that never come off.
Can't see us winning down there. It will take a big improvement on tonight.

Re: Dundee United v Falkirk

Would disagree with some on Telfer who I thought was OK and at least tries to get the ball down and pass.

On the the other hand Willo...headless fucking chicken

Re: Dundee United v Falkirk

We really are our own worst enemies. From the pitch being watered to a ridiculous degree then our players all looking like they had the wrong studs on. Robson and Kuate at fault for the first. I didn't think it was a foul for the free kick for their second. Edge letting the boy Austin bully him when he should've cleaned the cunt out in the first 5 mins. As for Dillon; just retire now please. That ball he played across the park in the first half. Jesus. He actually had the cheek to berate Robson after it despite it landing about 20 yards away from anyone.

We looked fucked at the end, particularly Durnan, Edge and Flood.

Spittal played really well though. Andreu and Murray also did well in spells. The rest were all frankly crap. Mikkelsen, Wato and Edge especially.

Praying Murdoch is patched up - Dillon

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Re: Dundee United v Falkirk

Feel sorry for Dillon he's just no got it anymore! Durnan only one in defence I have any sort of confidence in, feel the games are catching up on us now and no confident at all for Friday!
