Be surprised if he's here next season.

If Ray is saying that about a player who is a first team pick, during the season, when there's still a chance of promotion then the first person we need to get shot of isn't Spittal it's Ray

Rather than 'we', should that not be 'I'?
If Raymond has said this in a meeting with ULT (what is that?) he should be ashamed.

Spittal could score in every game between now and the end of the season, I still want to see the back of him, he is fucking rank rotten, I don't care if he has scored 3 in 4, what about the 99 games before the first of his wee run? 5/6 goals and maybe the same again in good games.
See ya pal (hopefully)

I would stick-up for McKinnon on that one tbh.
I have been lucky enough to attend a few Q+A's with past Utd Manager's (Jim McLean,Alex Smith,Ian McCall,Peter Houston) and they all spoke candidly and honestly to the supporters in the room. But it was also asked and understood that what was being shared in the room was to stay in the room.
If confidentiality was asked of the ULT members then they should have respected this request. If it wasn't requested then McKinnon and/or a club representative has been naive in not doing so.

McKinnon has openly said he wants to completely restructure the squad. I'd be surprised if he actually named specific players he didn't want at the club in confidence to a group of fans.

I am only commenting on Blair Spittal being mentioned openly as a player that McKinnon doesn't rate Arabphobia.
I wasn't at the Q+A obviously so have no idea if he did or didn't comment on Spittal's abilities or lack thereof.

My personal opinion is that no line manager should be discussing am employee with an outside group
It'd be surprising if didn't leak out so also naive (if accurate account)

Ray didn't name specific players at the Q & A. However, from my understanding, he basically said that he wants to gut the squad and only a few current 1st team players will remain next year, apparently Spittal is one of those who will be leaving.

First of all, welcome RockitArab!
Again, only my opinion, but Raymond should maybe have kept that plan private until we were either out the play offs, or promoted. Even if it is an opinion many would find agreeable.
Unless the manager was indulging in a bit of reverse psychology, which I doubt.

The Spittal conundrum really sums up what we are all about, he scores two goal after going a whole year without scoring and the debate begins.
Has he had plenty chances to prove he's got it?.....yes
Has he shown real desire to make himself a regular? No
His best asset is sticking to his task defensively but he really doesn't cut the mustard in the opposition half!
The fact he's still only 21 is a plus though,I would give him one more deal but the wage must be realistic.
Edit
Young players never do well in struggling teams

I'd let him go. Good luck to him. Too much was expected too young.

I wasn't at the meeting, but I know the person who told me wouldn't be making it up.
Don't know if anything was mentioned about confidentiality, but then if that's the case then there isn't much point in a Q&A then if its only going to be kept to a small minority group of supporters.
I really thought Spittal would have stepped up this season with the drop down to the Championship this was has time to push on and show his ability. He's shown flashes of the player he could be, but not enough for me.
The club needs to be ruthless over the summer with the squad, whatever league we end up in, if that means Spittal doesn't get kept on then so be it.

Anyone who watched Spittal for that last 45 minutes and wants to sign him up paying anything more than magic beans needs their collective eyes tested.
An atypical Spittal performance so far.

He wasn't bad 1st half, yes he gave the ball away a couple of times and ballooned a shot but he also looked for the ball, got wide and put in decent crosses, far from the worst performer.

Eh would say he was his normal poor ineffective self in the first half , second half he wasn't much better but popped up we a goal which will hide his overall performance again. Do however agree that there were worse performers, thought Robson was poor again tonight sh!te on the bah and too weak, Andreu quiet again need him better on Tuesday. Good ti see Fraser get the last 10, build on the Tuesday, will be important fir us.
