Has any reason been given as to why the terracing behind the goal is closed? Surely there's going to be a bigger away support on Tuesday than yesterday??

I just don't get this...

we need to retaliate and shut the shed on friday and stick them in the fair play.

How about just beating them.

Retaliate ffs

looks like the club have taken my advice to retaliate

Re: Morton v DUFC - Tuesday 9/5/17 (7.45)

Think we'll get a 1-1 draw tonight and win at home, maybe 2-0 at home.

Morton have done well this season against expectations and have a couple of really good players, they are in dreadful form over the last eight or so games though.

Re: Morton v DUFC - Tuesday 9/5/17 (7.45)

Also think it'll be a 1-1 draw, expecting a cagey match. Think we will squeeze through with a 2-1 win on Friday.

Re: Morton v DUFC - Tuesday 9/5/17 (7.45)

Team is as predicted by TEK and others, Murray and Edge back in for Coote and Donaldson:

Murdoch....Durnan..Edjenguele..Robson
..................Kuate.......Flood........
......Spittal.......Andreu.......Murray...
......................Mikkelsen.......

Fraser doesn't make the bench:

Zwick, Dixon, Donaldson, Telfer, Allardice, Coote, Nicholls.

Re: Morton v DUFC - Tuesday 9/5/17 (7.45)

After half time doom and gloom final result is (a) surprising and (b) very welcome.Well done the 16 goal striker many don't rate - did the business for us again as he has done on many occasions this season and well done to Spittal for his winner.

Would've bitter your hand off for that result before the game. Can't be complacent though. Still need to do the business on Friday. Nae fannying about!

Re: Morton v DUFC - Tuesday 9/5/17 (7.45)

Ray said he changed things at half -time and got balls over the top top Murray and Mikkelsen to put pressure on their back 4. Suspect if he had done more of this during the season, we'd be going up as Champions. We dont have the players to play the "clever" way and the "clever" way seldom works anyway so why not ditch it until we are 3 or 4 goals to the good.

Re: Morton v DUFC - Tuesday 9/5/17 (7.45)

Great result, looking forward to Friday and can't wait to see Murray's goal. Radio pundits comparing Murray's finish to Thierry Henry 😂😄😅😆😁

Spittal's done no bad lately.

Just a wee overreaction there but can you blame me!?

Re: Morton v DUFC - Tuesday 9/5/17 (7.45)

Great turnaround by utd after a brutal 1st half! Murray's goal was an absolute screamer! Spittal's goal was also good, may not have been a decent strike but he seemed to take his shot early which surprised everyone. Have also been really impressed by Kuate as he seems to be getting better in each game.

Re: Morton v DUFC - Tuesday 9/5/17 (7.45)

Really really poor firat half and tbh i feared the worst going into the 2nd half. What a difference tho. However i hope theres nae complacency on Friday. . Would have taken a draw before ko tbf but very happy with the win.

On radio they were kind of shocked at a challenge Kuate made but found it hard to explain whether he wiped one or two players out.  Said he got the ball the man/men, wiped oot the hail situation in one go.  Think he was booked.

Have a feeling he can be shockingly good, shockingly hard and occasionally shockingly bad.
I'd keep him for next season.

The final 2 games where Kuate started we managed over 20 shots for the only times this season. I put this down to Kuate passing the ball forwards instead of the usual suspects passing backwards sideways and unnecessary/irrelevant. Hope his positive manner catches on

Good effort fae the 666 👹😈👺 travelling Arabs, sounded decent on the radio.

Hope we can shift a load of £12 & £6 tickets for Friday night on the back of this boost.

Duffy will be winding them up. We should be getting at them and getting right behind the team as loudly as we can in good numbers.

He releases a pass faster and has an eye for movement. We are too slow and take too many touches when bad to watch. Like this laddie.

Re: Morton v DUFC - Tuesday 9/5/17 (7.45)

Heard we went 442 2nd half. Also heard we should have changed tactics earlier but we got there in the end.
Won't be surprised if it comes out RMCK went a bit JYM at half time too. He spent some time with Luggy earlier in the day talking Shed.

Re: Morton v DUFC - Tuesday 9/5/17 (7.45)

Here's most of the United support tonight.

I'm not actually sure we changed the system in the second half, we just moved the ball on much faster.

It's all about opinions, but I thought we struggled with the sun in the first half (seriously) but in the second Flood and Kuate took control of the game.

Good half victory...............

Derek Ferguson and Tam McManus actually said that on Radio Scotland Pat (about the Sun affecting our defenders clearing the ball).
