I see the terracing behind the goal is closed for tuesday night we have sections of both stands opposite each other.

Thats shocking imo

Only possible change to that would be Scott Fraser if/when ready.

Re: Morton v DUFC - Tuesday 9/5/17 (7.45)

That was probably my fault for misleading folk. The minimum price is £12, I saw United had decided on that price and assumed Morton had agreed and would do the same.

I'll get out the fake ID and go as a concession down there.

The starting eleven almost picks itself, it's about how they line up and the form they show. Maybe Fraser will be held back until Friday, if fit/nearly fit. Not really enthusiastic about this, more dread than anything else.

Has any reason been given as to why the terracing behind the goal is closed? Surely there's going to be a bigger away support on Tuesday than yesterday??

I just don't get this...

we need to retaliate and shut the shed on friday and stick them in the fair play.

Like Frank's Law it's time to deliver. Don't bother looking for positives or excuses Ray all we want is results.

Bring back the (real) "United Way" not the kiddy-on Martin version

Re: Morton v DUFC - Tuesday 9/5/17 (7.45)

Cani really argue with that team TEK only because we really don't be have anything else to choose fae. For me I'd bring Dixon back in Robson hus been p!ss poor for weeks now and again yesterday (no just for their goal)

agree with the rest Fraser if fit should hopefully at least make the bench if not ready too start.

Re: Morton v DUFC - Tuesday 9/5/17 (7.45)

There was a bit of an issue from the november game regarding the health and safety of the stand behind goal.
No aure if its been getting used by other fans since and they have just closed it for utd fans due to that.

Chap fell (One of SAS guys) and cracked his nose wide open.  All teams now in cow shed according to the pleasant fat sweaty greasy slimey steward that told us.

Yeah i saw that at the time. Surprised there wasnt more that fell that day. Bevvy and wet benches isnt a good mix

like myself im sure you have stood in many away ends following the terrors. Being behind the goal helps the team.  Look at pittodrie ibrox celtic park the away fans are tucked away in the corner.  Any advantage we can get we should take in what for me is a 50-50 tie.

I would dispute that tbh.

The away fans have been in the Shed all season and we've only lost one game at Tannadice all season.

Contrast this with our awful away form (where our fans have been behind a goal everytime and normally in good numbers too) and i would suggest it's more about players ability and mentality than anything else.

Keep Morton fans in the Shed imo.

Re: Morton v DUFC - Tuesday 9/5/17 (7.45)

Strangely, looking forward to this game (after a drink tonight): letting the train take the strain, it's surprisingly cheap from Larbert.

I reckon Scott Fraser will make an influential appearance at some point.

I looked at the train to greenock  for Saturday.  £52 the robbing bastards wanted.

Re: Morton v DUFC - Tuesday 9/5/17 (7.45)

It's eleven quid from Larbert.

If you split the tickets from Dundee and get four instead of one, ie book Dundee to Perth, Perth to Stirling, Stirling to Glasgow, Glasgow to Greenock, all as returns, the cost for one person is less than £32.

I think if you can get a group of three to go, there is another one third off that price (Mon to Friday), bringing it down to around £21 a person only on a weekday. Now that would give a lot more cash to donate to the James Watt Wetherspoons in Greenock, a worthy cause.

Re: Morton v DUFC - Tuesday 9/5/17 (7.45)

52 quid day return fae Dundee to Greenock. FFS. Travelled to Kings Cross in January for £57 return First Class. And that included a bacon roll, meal and booze (Stella and Grouse), served at the phuckin table. OK admit it was booked 3 months in advance but that is phuckin ridic.

Dinna ken if it's worth mentioning, but ye could try this and it might be a bit chaeper. Get a day return fae Dundee to Queen St. Then when you to Central, get a day return fae Central to Greenock (the trains roond Glesgae area are subsidised by Strathclyde PTE). Worth a try.

I'm in Aeberdeen and winna be back till Wednesday, so winna make the game. B&t let me ken how ye get on we the train.

Re: Morton v DUFC - Tuesday 9/5/17 (7.45)

I never realised away goals don't count in the playoffs.
Kind of removes the 'game plan' clubs have when in 2 leg matches where they aim for a clean sheet /away goal etc.
