Utd v Dumbarton - Saturday 29/4/17 (5.15pm)

Our last chance at trying to stake a claim for 2nd.Lose or draw and it is looking a forlorn hope.

Edjenguele is suspended which leaves us having to break-up his partnership with Durnan for the first time in months.

This will be a tough game.Dumbarton have of course beaten us twice already this season and we only narrowly defeated them at Tannadice previously.

They have taken 21 championship points since Hogmanay when they defeated us.We have taken only 17.

So i don't think a victory is a foregone conclusion by any means. But it is an absolute necessity.

I would go with.

Murdoch...Durnan.....Donaldson...Robson
..................Telfer........Flood.......
........Spittal.......Andreu.....Murray
.......................Mikkelson....

Re: Utd v Dumbarton - Saturday 29/4/17 (5.15pm)

Similar team to your selection, Tek, but Toshney for Donaldson.

There's maybe not much to choose between them, but with Ray McKinnon manager next season, and both players still under contract (Toshney until 2016) he's really got to go with the player he brought to the club, and play him in the position he supposedly starred in last season.

Toshney was stinking at Falkirk earlier in the year, but he picked up an injury early on (one of many he's suffered this season) and had to be substituted.

He's no right back, and no midfielder of any sort. But he's under a longer contract than Donaldson, and was signed as a ch.

Donaldson is big no for me any place near the team, I'd pick him to watch the game at home on Alba !

One thing we could really do with would be a very good goal advantage victory

Falkirk draw today - if that's not motivation for the team, then nothing is.

Playing well here.

Moving the ball about with nice zip for once.

Murray should have had a hat-trick by now.His last miss was easier to score.

Re: Utd v Dumbarton - Saturday 29/4/17 (5.15pm)

A bit aggrieved we are drawing. I'd say we've been in control of the match.

Think they got lucky with the ball into the box - if he meant it. He should be playing at a higher level than dumbarton

Re: Utd v Dumbarton - Saturday 29/4/17 (5.15pm)

3 defeats to Dumbarton - let that sink in
We are staring down the barrel of that.

McKinnon deserves no more chances he will never take us up

2 defeats and a draw when we need a win - still not good enough

Re: Utd v Dumbarton - Saturday 29/4/17 (5.15pm)

Frustrating result when you see the falkirk score.

McKinnon still working with mcnamaras signing policy. Summer gives him a blank canvas, pretty much, no matter what league we are in.

I know folk can rattle off a whole bunch of signings that have been poor but there's some good ones in there too.

Ridiculous result no excuses we should be pumping them at home our bogey team for sure this season i hope we can beat them away next season as lets be honest we aint going up.
Should have had the game buried by the time.they equalised but again we never.
I thought kuate done well in first half but fell out it.
Flood has went and continues to go backwards.
Donaldson fuck off
Robson few mistakes today.
Murray could finish he would be at man utd fuck me.

First half hour was great, big Kuate running the show.  Rest of the game was pure pish.

This, with fucking bells on.
Me and my mate were saying so all this game and for most of the season.
He's a negative wee bully that causes chaos with his style of play and never takes responsibility to do anything positive in the game.
For great tackling, that was a shocking effort for there second after he needlessly gave it away.

He lacks the discipline to play in a holding two and badly effects his partner. He done the same last time he was here and rankin couldn't play alongside him

Not that anyone will believe me lol but we were at a meeting with mcnamara and talking about flood not getting a new contract. He (McNamara) said he did get offered a new deal but wasnt that fussed if he didnt sign as he (flood) didnt listen to team instructions and was a free shirt basically.

I'll probably get accused now by the snowflakes of causing bother haha

Re: Utd v Dumbarton - Saturday 29/4/17 (5.15pm)

We got a cat today. So far he has cleared his dish unlike Jamie Robson who is incapable of clearing anything and he's passed water straight into his litter tray, which makes him better than Willo Flood, who can't pass anything to the intended target.

Too much commotion

I believe that, I spoke with flood a few years back when he was at Aberdeen and he said he was offered a contract but on less than what he was on. Seemed fair enough to me as the team had been poor, think that was the season he got player of the year, but I always seen that as a protest vote.
There's a place for players like him but the have to be disciplined like jimmy or prince as well as a handful.
Was it Andreu he tackled on the edge of our box in the 2nd half? Happens too often
