Nice looking strip.

BTW can we please stop every thread descending into a discussion about Thompson?

Yes, he's fucked the club up, and we need him out but honestly, do we need the same old shit in every thread?

Getting very tiresome.

Correct - there are plenty of relevant threads - shoving stuff on the away strip thread etc just pisses people off.

There wasnt a protest at the last one. So youve got that wrong.

There was an attempt at one - until the club moved the location from the perth road to gussie. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/dundee-united-trouble-continues-fan-7955766.amp

And yes - on topic. V smart kit. I hope we wear it with black shorts socks and don't change it to the bloody safety Orange which would look guff.

Being hugely picky, I'd have preferred the Nike swoosh to be tangerines too but guess that's Out with our control

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Nobody had any intention of going down to the perth road to protest at the launch that is fact. The club moved the launch after a pic was posted of two banners where the launch was to be. If they checked they would have seen the banners hadnt been left.

Re: New away kit 17'/18' on sale Friday 28th April

Anyway, back to the strip....

Since it is all black, I can see the new home strip being all safety orange, er I mean tangerine unfortunately.

Get the black shorts back in the home kit!

Re: New away kit 17'/18' on sale Friday 28th April

Guess i am in the minority here but given the build up to it i was expecting a little more than what is basically a plain black tshirt.

For what is meant to be a "bespoke" kit its a little underwhelming to me.

At least the sponsor's name kind of looks part of it rather than a stuck on afterthought - will wait until I've seen it in the flesh but my first thought is yeah, pretty good.

Not just me then?

Don't get me wrong,it's a smart kit.

But it is basically just as you said yet another 'off the rail' Nike t-shirt with a DUFC badge sewn on.

What happened to our much vaunted 'bespoke' original designs this coming season?

Was rather intrigued to see what we had collaborated on with Nike.

Anyone bought old style shirts from Retroshirt City? Saw a twitter post advertising the 1987 tangerine VG strip knockoff. Adidas badge, shoulder stripes, the lot. Cracking shirt but no idea about the quality.

No price - assume you have to register and log in to get pricing. They have done hundreds of shirts though and you would think they wouldn't be doing well if their quality was shite.

Edit: 30 quid for the 1989 Adidas Belhaven shirt. The 87 shirt coming out later this week - no price yet. 30 quid seems not bad.

Im planning on getting one, tried to get one before but they were sold out. Look like decent quality from what ive seen. Few folk wearing them at games.

Regarding the away kit, I get what you are saying about the numbers, but why say its going to bespoke when its clearly not.

Maybe it will just be the home kit thats bespoke next season.

Gents,

Can we try and keep this thread about the new away kit please?

Re: New away kit 17'/18' on sale Friday 28th April

Was hoping for some more  tangerine but the sponsor ads some of that and has a good effect for a change. By the time numbers, names and sleeve badges are on it'll look better.

Agree with you both, it's a simple basic effort.

I do quite like it tho

Not sure

Last years home strip was released 11th or 12th May. Season before were on sale 22nd May so shouldn't be long but they seem to stagger home and away to get them selling.

Fucking Hope not. Last time fans got involved we got that abomination of an orange sash on our tfg away kit.
Some fans pull together some belting mock ups online and I wouldn't be against their mock ups being used but bringing boys in to chime in with an opinion usually ends in disaster.
Like the Homer Simpson designed car

Re: New away kit 17'/18' on sale Friday 28th April

That picture above of Armstrong looks like the semi at Hampden, however on  arriving home that night after a few drinks, I fell down the stairs and went into a coma.

I've just woke up, who did we get and how did we get on in the final, did Stuart and Gary run then ragged and how's that whole bank deal thing we set up to allow the club to flourish without the bank pressuring us coming along?

And seeing as it's nearly May, if you could post the top six post spilt fixtures for me that'll be ace, all the money i've saved being out of it I can go to every game and the annual Hampden trip.

*****Logs out whilst singing Seven nation army..... "Doo, doo doo, doo doo, doo!"

Think it was the chairman who fell down the stairs and banged his head that night.  It's the only sane explanation.

Whole clubs been in a coma since.
