It's a shame it never worked out with him.
Looked good to start with but don't know if it was him or played in the wrong position but it just didn't work.
Bali United would be just like retiring!

The letdown of McKinnon's signing, we were all sold a pup on this one, lad with good experience at a high level and would come into the Championship and rip it up.
Maybe you can argue he was played out of position but he was useless anywhere else on the field, never a wide man and never ever a centre forward. nae pace, canny hold a ball up and went down far too easily.
Bye Nick you won't be missed ya pudden

Nothing on the official website as yet (not that that's saying much however).
I hope it's not true he is away immediately as although i don't rate him much it leaves us ridiculously short of players going into a hectic run of games.

Ray really talked this guy up and he really couldn't have been more wrong.
Ray's eye for a player is a huge concern to me and must admit I'll be peaking through my fingers in the summer when he starts bringing boys in.

I thought he was retiring ? Or just retiring from DUFC?? Obviously a hugely talented player - I think McKinnon was right to sign him. He should've been one of the stars of the Championship but didn't fancy getting his hair ruffled. He'd rather try a back heel flick and a couple of keepie ups than just make the simple pass that was required. Shame but cheerio

Thought he was going to be a star for us.
Mind the raith game where we drew 2-2 here after being 2-0 up, after they'd equalized and we'd went up the park. VDV could have taken the ball into the box but instead he tried a rabona from the corner flag. That told me he had underestimated the league. Knew then he'd flop.
The post from Bali Fotball has his head clearly photshopped onto a body....FAF! #
Edit: Confirmed by Ray

Aye, thought he'd be a good signing, he looked good in his first few games. Probably signed him about 5 years to late.

Dreadful signing. We're short of dosh and waste money on dross like this. You couldn't make it up

Wonder if the loss of the Dundee - Amsterdam flight connection had any bearing on the form of VdV, as the ease of travel back home might have been a factor in him signing for United.
He looked a class above most other Championship players in the early part of the season, it might be part of the reason he looked lost after the first couple of months. Or maybe not.

He's a highly tuned athlete who won't want to bend his legs for too long, mind.

TEK will be along in a minute to tell you that's what finished Curtis Goode's career

Well remembered EHA haha.
Ironically though in a way that friendly i was anxious about Curtis Good playing did wreck his career.
I don't think he has played a top flight game for anyone since.
What a shame because he had something.

McKinnon was bemoaning the lack of squad depth just on Saturday past.
I don't want to hear anything else regards this from him.
