Edjenguele

Suspended for the last 2 league games.

Who would you play in his place?

Re: Edjenguele

The fact he brought Donaldson on the day, says to me that he's next in line.

Oh 5h!t

Re: Edjenguele

I'd play Toshney before Donaldson.

Maybe why he wasn't involved today, taking no chances of him getting injured or suspended?

I'd play Terry The Terror ahead of Donaldson.

Re: Edjenguele

If Dillon was fit I'd play him.

If not Donaldson.

Then Van der Stuiyk,

Then my 95 year old granny,

Then Toshney.

Too much commotion

That would be my pick, but it won't happen.

Either B&T. Would probably go for the legendary Baz as i remember TTT saying he's no very mobile these days.

Baz (hopefully) has bigger feet for clearing the ball tae!

I thought we did a brilliant job for the last 3 minutes today keeping the ball away from Donaldson. He gives me the fear. I'd rather see VdS or Dillon in there.

Dillon's out for the season

Agreed. Suspect Donaldson knows by the amount of game time he's had this season that he's not rated by the management and will know there's been no clamour from fans to get him back in the team and that everyone was willing him to move on in the transfer window.

That aside we are short at the back with Edje suspended and whoever comes in or goes on to the bench in readiness for some game time needs to be supported and encouraged to give of their best. Donaldson has some strengths, admittedly he's not really shown them but if he is the chosen replacement, destroying his self confidence in advance  is not going to help United's cause. Hopefully Ray and the coaching staff will be giving him pointers about keeping concentration & discipline, winning challenges and being safe at all times - no pretty football or chances taken anywhere near our 18 yard line.

Exactly the same applies to Toshney if he gets the nod and Ray if  he has any sense will get someone like Willo to sit in front of the CB's and give them a bit of protection.

Bring back the (real) "United Way" not the kiddy-on Martin version

I heard that too. Where I am in the mid-GF Lower, I couldna actually make out where it was coming from - wasnae anychunt near me, and TBH thought it was only a small minority. No belittling it or anything like.

Expected to hear boos but heard nothing fae the JK.
Did joke about how it might sound to hear 5500 fans cry though.
Mind how it sounded when at a point in the early 90s the hale support baa'd at the aberdeen fans in the derry in a cup game and other games around that time.

Re: Edjenguele

As much as i don't rate Donaldson anyone booing the boy onto the pitch is an absolute knob who should consider would they like to hear their laddie booed on to the fucking pitch?

Re: Edjenguele

I can't recall hearing anything from the GF Lower but there was a few heavy sighs when folk realised he was coming on!

Re: Edjenguele

I heard the booing from the ET, out of order.  Yes he's not good enough but booing him on is hardly going to make him play any better is it?  We have some right numbskulls that support our club.

Anyway, I'd play Robson at CH with Edge being out.
