Yet another game that falls under the 'MUST WIN' category.
The Buddies have shown much improved form since January and of course defeated us in Paisley 3-2 in the last league encounter.Though we salvaged a degree of revenge thereafter by defeating them in the Irn Bru Cup Final.
It is hightime we got a performance from our team.A full 90 minute performance. We must find some form/confidence going towards the play-off's.
.........................Bell................
Murdoch..Durnan..Edjenguele..Robson
.................Telfer....Flood....
......Spittal.....Andreu....Murray....
....................Mikkelsen.......

Toshney,Donaldson,Kuate

For me it would be:
Bell
Murdoch Durnan Edge Robson
Spittal Kuate Allardice Murray
Mikkelson Andreu.
Attack, attack, attack, we need the ball out wide and into the box for Mikkelson to attack and for Andreu to pick up in 2nd balls and spills.

Only 2 changes for me from your team TEK, Dixon for Robson who for me hus been p!ss poor recently, and eh would keep Allardice in a head of Telfer who just offers nothing every time.
Also heard a whisper that the Edge is suspended dina ken if that's for this week or next (yellow caird rule) can anybody confirm or deny?

Checked SFA website mate and nothing on him being out but it was last updated last Friday so wouldn't have any info on Edjenguele's suspension anyway.
If he is out that is a huge blow as it would need to be Donaldson in there in light of Dillon being injured. Please no-one say Toshney at CH.Please.Then again,it's Donaldson we are talking about right enough.Like being offered to be shot or stabbed.
I would persist with Robson tbh.I agree he hasn't been great but he can only get better with games.Dixon isn't getting any better.Infact he's finished.Injuries caught-up with him i think.
I would even play Spittal LB before him if it came to it.
Allardice has done 'ok' but for me Telfer offers slightly more creativity (albeit only slightly more).
We really do have a piss poor squad at the moment eh?

If Edge is suspended I'd play Robson at CH, where I think he's more suited and Dixon at LB.
Allardice could also slot in at CH.
No way I'm sticking donaldson in, would rather play with 10 men.
In front of that I'd play
Allardice
Spittal. Flood
Andreu
Mikkelsen. Murray

Interesting youd bring Kuate in . Have you seen him in action? Id like to know what he offers? Not a dig at you btw. Just wondering if youve seen him play for development team as ive no got a scooby what he offers us.

Saw Kuate at Dillon's testimonial, and TBH didna look too bad. But have to admit that I huvna seen him in a "competitive" match.

People keep saying to me Telfer brings the creativity that oor team is missing since Fraser got injured, I can't think of an assist Telfer hus in the league TBH I can't think of a gem where I've come awa thinking 'Telfer has created chances for us the day' I think he flatters to deceive massively, keeps the ball for us yes but keeps it going sideways or back.
Just hud a look myself at the SFA website and your right TEK no update yet, seriously cani bare the thought of going ti tannadice and huvin tae watch Donaldson!!

Had a look at SFA site there, Edge can't be suspended for Saturday or it would be on the latest list. Could only be out on Sat if it was an immediate suspension for a red card.

Yeah mate seen him in development game, he ran the midfield, strong in the tackle, holds the ball well and looks to pass to forward players asap. Calm and collective, think him and Allardice would give us insurance for the likes of Andreu, Murray and Spittal to push forward more.

Who knows if or where Toshney will be shoehorned in this week......
A certainty tomorrow is that the referee, Craig Charleston, has a vested interest in the outcome. The ex-policeman (for a reason) has a Falkirk tattoo, and has never been allowed to referee one of their matches. A man with a chequered past, his charge sheet includes driving his car at a bloke he didn't like, and spitting on a traffic warden. Charleston, well known to me, isn't the most pleasant of characters.
But we're stuck with him, and if you can get a bet on it, he's likely to book Willie Edjenguele as soon as an opportunity arises. Or even if it doesn't.

Pat your knowledge (and obsession) regards Scottish referees is unparalleled 😂😂👏👏

Charleston's family lived in the same street as me in the 'eighties. I could tell you more about him, but rest assured, he doesn't like Dundee United.

He and his assistants had a right howler in the Dumbarton home game I recall and made it very hard for us to get our 2-1 victory. Didn't see it but he ref'd the 2-1 defeat away to Raith booking Edje, Murdoch and Murray

@Pat part 2.
It is definitely Craig Charleston.
Apparently.
I should never have doubted you Sir.

Setting out shortly for this, and get the feeling the support is underwhelmed by the match: is it that we are in the play offs, so it's not regarded as an important match?
Or is it because of the reported financial difficulties, the match is of secondary importance?
No matter, it's vital to aim for second position, to ensure a couple of games less in these play offs.

On my way up too - cant decide if the gemme on Saturdays is a welcome relief from the financial stuff or if the financial stuff is a welcome relief from the gemme on Saturdays
Flood in, Toshney oot (and not even on bench) 😱

Half time -
1-1
Sounds like the aforementioned Mr Charleston is having an 'eventful' afternoon.

Thought our goal was a stonewall foul.
Theirs came from, surprisingly enough, a free header from a needlessly conceded free kick.
St Mirren are dreadful, yet we're struggling.

Big win that.
Unfortunately Falkirk winning means 2nd still not in our hands.
