Play offs

Now our best chance is obviously finishing second in the league sadly i cant see that.

Can we pass the first game which is likely to be morton?

I think we could beat them but then falkirk will fuck us.

Re: Play offs

We canny string twa passes together let alone twa results. No chance we are going up with the club as it is. Dundee or Hamilton would pump us even if we did somehow get to the final. Nae heart + nae desire = nae chance

Re: Play offs

We've had the Demolition Derby and the Relegation Derby, this could be the Diarrhoea Derby.

Re: Play offs

Whoever we're playing they're likely to be fighting for their careers.

We've so many out of contract they'll just be busy trying not to get injured

Re: Play offs

I honestly reckon we'll get through to final.  We'll get pumped at that point though

Re: Play offs

Morton are in a real dip in form and i reckon we might eek by them over 2 legs (though it wouldn't surprise me if they defeated us either).

Falkirk will take care of us though at their own patch.Of that i have no doubt.

If by some miracle we got to the Play-Off Final we would get pumped by Hamilton,Motherwell,or yes, even Dundee (which would be the final indignity in this 2 years of utter Hell).

Re: Play offs

If we somehow managed to finish 2nd and got to play the return leg at home we might have more of a chance because the crowd would get behind us but unfortunately I doubt we'll get 2nd. We'd get pumped by the Fun in the final as well.

Too much commotion

Re: Play offs

It's such a sorry state when you are dreading meeting Morton, Falkirk or The Fun. FFS what has happened to our club, makes ya want tae greet 😪

Re: Play offs

We're gonna go up.

We've been pish all season and shouldn't, but we're gonna scrape thru.  Won't be deserved but who cares.

My thinking is 2 shitey teams with 2 sets of supporters shitting themselves about an outcome that gives them both the shits is on the cards. Sacking their manager and replacing him with an untested manager only gives me a laugh and a wee bit more hope from a terrible position of hopelessness.

Re: Play offs

I'd rather have the chance of meeting Dundee in a play off final than worry about whether we'd make an arse of ourselves if we get there.

Of course, we've been pish this season, but I reckon the standard in the top league isn't up to much either.

And hopefully, we'll find out.

We've waited all season for a great performance Pat. Nae guarantees but fkn due something great or surprising.

Fitba throws up the unexpected and sometimes a glorious revenge. This would top the lot for me.
Hard to see through the shitey brown fog of despair right now but who knows how this might end.

A team from the lower league is going to buck the trend sooner or later when it comes to the playoffs.

Is it possible (or is it blind optimism) that the players are playing within themselves? We have looked decent against hibs in 3 of the 4 games. I guess the Ross county performance would argue against it.

I'm not scared of Morton or falkirk.  Derby relegation game gives me the fear though. Not because they 're that good but just invade it didn't go our way

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Re: Play offs

I've been dreading the thought of getting the funsters in the play-off, would be the biggest derby of all time surely; would probably be a really nasty atmosphere and I really don' t think I can handle the prospect of them beating us.  Hopefully they continue their free-fall and come straight doon.

I hope we are able to get to that stage!

My preference.

Not just so they are relegated (though that would be obviously delightful) but also so that Utd can go into any potential play-off Final unemotionally (so to speak).

Dundee might not be much cop but i don't trust our players to be able to handle a frenzied, nasty loud white-hot atmosphere which both matches would be against them.

Re: Play offs

Prices are predetermined too, at least minimum prices are: Adults are £12 minimum for 3/4 place games and 2nd v Winner, final is £18 minimum.

IF its a derby final nae danger itll be £18. Guaranteed both clubs will charge category A prices.

Re: Play offs

Thoughts - do we get Cammy Ballantyne, Brad & Matt Smith Davor Suker & other loanees back for the play-offs - with one or two emergengy loanees we could virtually have a new team. I'm now away to think about how we could improve the management.

Re: Play offs

Is there not a cut off point to bring emergency loans or unattatched players in?
