Plumber - asked before - are FU open to working with ST or is the principle aim to remove him?

Probably a very good question Tangy. Think we all ken the answer but without a saviour in sight to take over it's a realistic question.

I didn't say they were the same though - I said they are largely in the same social circles which would give a better chance of opinions being v similar - this not giving a spread of opinions.

Ie ask me my opinion and ask my best mate his opinion and they will be pretty similar.

What social circles is that Dean

Dean? Not me, pal. So far you've had me working for the club and now I'm Dean? Not sure why my real name is important to you but if you want to meet before a game, I'll happily do it. We are all big boys after all - sure a shared pint and a chat would work.

Also presume you don't think that members of the  fed committee and members of the FU committee aren't good friends? If i am wrong, i sincerely apologise. Definition of social circles - people who socialise in the same locations and have similar interests and friends.

Arabnophobia - it seems to be assumed that I'm trying to make trouble for fu. I'm really not. These are the questions the masses need answered before they know whether to back FU or not.

In reality, FU need to answer these questions to get people on board.

The group have been together since the start of the season, the first protest was on the 9th of March - more than a month ago. We were asked to wait for answers and that there would be a public meeting soon but so far no details.  The minutes of the meetings don't tell me much and the aims and objectives are a bit vague.

I'm desperate to back this group but won't just accept being told to. I want the best outcome for the club whether that's with ST at the helm, FUs mystery investor or somebody completely different.(Lorraine kelly/Ricky Ross consortium? )

Your first names not important but i woulda just lost my house if you were Dean as i would have bet it on you being a guy i know called Dean, Anyway I'll happily take you up on the offer of a pint, you can meet me in the snug before the Dumbarton game, i'll be at end of bar beside a fucking awful roulette machine, just ask for Jim. or any boozer you frequent
There may well be members of FU that are mates with committee of FU but dare say some will also be mates with members of AT, Ladies and Business club. I really dont see what your point is? Dundee's a village and our club is a small club where faces are always recognised.

Theres also a difference between a FU member, and a FU committee member, for what i know a FU member is someone who is on their facebook page whilst the committee men are the ones running the show so to speak...

I am mates with fed committee members and FU members and the committee of the FU too but I also know plenty people in AT and the business club so how does that affect me?

Re: Thompson to meet fans

I'll maybe take you up on that but unsure if I'm down for Dumbarton as yet - I'll pm you later.

Wasn't a huge point really and 1 which seems to have been blown into something bigger than it was intended to be. Mostly I think there should be as much different representation at the meeting as possible to get a rounded view from all sides and this can only be the best for the process (if the meeting actually happens).

I wish people wouldn't come out with such derogatory nonsense. Dundee is not a village. It is Scotland's fourth city, was once third but fell upon hard times. Now, however, in the process of regeneration. Looking for great things happening in Dundee in the not so distant future. The only thing parochial about the city is the mentality  of some of the football-supporting fraternity, as evidenced by the outrage fuelled by the merest hint of Dundee United and Dundee FC merging.......

Leedsy, you're quoting the wrong person! But Affshore is talking about the familiarity of folk in the city, rather than the size or mentality of Dundee itself, I think.
