It's a worse listen.

Re: Ayr utd v dundee utd

Dreadful performance. Team and tactics lacking. Long balls up to Thomas Mikkelsen was our only angle. A worse performance than Raith away.

Re: Ayr utd v dundee utd

FFS. Falkirk and Morton drap points, and we canna take advantage oe it, coz we come up against the Champions of Europe. Ye'd think so ay. Ayr United, sittin right at the bottom.

Too many chances went amiss.

Wasnae at the game. Had a chest infection for over 3 weeks, so got up to watch it on TV. Now goin awa back to bed. Phuckin seek for another week.

Re: Ayr utd v dundee utd

Sat on the couch and watched that the day. Poor again.

Nothing going forward at all Spittal Andreu Tam and Murray all s***e.

I'm no Toshney's biggest fan but again when we bring Telfer on we looked a poorer side, Telfer should be nowhere near it IMO offers nothing every gem.

Back 4 looks comfortable, thought Robson again tho was a weak link.

Re: Ayr utd v dundee utd

Just noticed that today's results confirm United's place in the play offs. Falkirk are in too, while potentially Morton could still blow it. Dunfermline (!!!) or less likely QoS could pip them.

It really has been a poor standard of football in this league.

Re: Ayr utd v dundee utd

A horrible horrible game of 'football' (using that term very loosely) played by two horrible sides who absolutely battered the ball for the whole 90 minutes.

Zero finesse on show at all.

Worryingly,i thought bottom of the table Ayr marginally played the better passing game and had us on the ropes at the end (notice how there's a pattern emerging there btw?On the ropes at the end of games i mean). It certainly was in no way evident which sides were at opposite ends of the table any roads.

Did Fleming have a save to make incidentally? I can't recall one other than Murdoch's shot midway through the 1st half

I may be mistaken but I seem to recall RM doing a good job at his previous club, which was why we went for him.So is this dreadful state of affairs down to him or the players? Or a combination of poor players and bad management?

Terrible again.  Thought Allardice played well, the rest of them - hopeless.

I ken he's young blah blah blah, but thought Allardice was just as s***e as the rest done nothing of note and Ayr won the midfield battle, missed Willo yesterday IMO

Fair enough but I totally disagree.  He was the only one who tried to get the ball down and pass it.

No we didn't IMO, Willo's return has been big part in our failures this year.

Said at start of season he was a mistake being allowed to return, admire his 100% effort all over the park ....but that's his problem , he's all over the place and that opens up our back four to being exposed.

That and all the sideways passing, 2 yard passes back and forward with defenders, losing possession regularly make him an easy choice to replace next year with better hopefully. Imo.

Re: Ayr utd v dundee utd

Dinna ken if anychunt would agree we me, but I felt for a long time that Willo only seems to pass in the direction that he's running in.

Re: Ayr utd v dundee utd

We don't have a central midfielder who can create other than Fraser and he's punted oot to the right wing because he doesni run aroond like a headless chicken. Get someone or another 2 in there beside him, BTW we are missing him big style.

I agree with u TnB, Eh dina rate Willo anymore but he's better than what we have.

Allardice- not yet good enough
Telfer- offers nothing 0 league goals this season , no assists. Doesnt win possession back.
Toshney- not good enough
Murdoch- better right back

Funny you should say that. Few boys from fed were at a meeting with mcnamara and were talking about flood. He said he wasnt a great loss as flood never listened to instructions and basically done his own thing.

He seemed to follow Mcinnes's instructions at Aberdeen and keep his position fine, maybe it's down to the managers?

Agreed. I can think of at least 3 occasions under McInnes where he was MOM for Aberdeen against us and basically ran the game and snuffed out our attacking players.

Too much commotion
