Just for clarity, the "We have 700 members through social media" you talk of on Mad, is that 700 different members or 700 times some people have joined the various outlets FU have up and running, in other words is there double or triple counting as some people I know have joined facebook, twitter & the web site, does that count as 1 member or 3?
I'm sure for the sake of transparency and lucidity you can put me right, thanks in advance. If you go on Facebook and search fans united the link to their facebook page comes up. Beside that it tells you how many facebook members they have . Its currently saying 688.
So 688 folk who are looking for info on the group - not necessarily that amount who support the group

Fair play . Just pointing out there's a difference between interested people and supporters.... wouldn't be an issue if the group wasn't private though... why is it still private anyway, plumber? Surely f you want to share info, hiding it in members only group us not the future

I dare say any group members that are on the page will be in agreement with the group, i cant say either as im not on it but i wouldnt join something unless i was in agreement with it, just my opinion though...

I was invited to join the facebook page of Fans United, refused to join. I refused as I want to know what their plans are if they were successful in removing ST. I have emailed them but have had no response, that's now over a month. I know they have released statements, but to me I don't see a plan of action. Yes we all know what the problems are but what plans are in place to resolve these issues? Have been called an "ST follower" etc which is bollocks as I want him gone as much as the next guy, but I don't join something unless I know what I am joining.

Not sure if my point has been missed or ignored but either way... a group of people make a big statement at an important game. The ONLY place to get information from is a closed Facebook group. To find out are is going on, they join.
People generally don't go back and 'unlike things on Facebook and in this case, if they don't agree with any aspect of it, they will stay joined to see if anything changes. I don't think an assumption that all members agree with everything the group say.
In saying that, I'd guess the majority do.
Statistics are like miniskirts - they can show as much or as little as you want

If fans United want fans to join the group in droves this is how to do it:
Make information accessible across all mediums i.e social media, FU website, fanzines/newspapers/leaflets with no closed groups.
State their clear intentions, are the willing to work with ST to resolve issues or are they going their own way to resolve these issues?
What plans do Fans United have in place incase of sitution A, B or C happening?
What are Fans United hoping to achieve and timescales for this?
How do Fans United plan to raise funds for the club?
If ST were to walk tomorrow, what plans would be in place for the future stability of the club?
Some of the questions I raised in the email to them and had no response.

State their clear intentions, are the willing to work with ST to resolve issues or are they going their own way to resolve these issues? have they not already done this with the core aims and principles? They've asked to meet ST a couple of times, he keeps declining but they have asked for some transparancy from the board, not got it though...
What plans do Fans United have in place incase of sitution A, B or C happening? youll need to expand on what situations A,B and C are ?
What are Fans United hoping to achieve and timescales for this? You'll need to expand on the previous question before anyone would be able to asnwer that..
How do Fans United plan to raise funds for the club? through the foundation and local business men and group members i would say?
If ST were to walk tomorrow, what plans would be in place for the future stability of the club? hes never ever gonna walk but if he did hopefully the guy who seemingly approached him in the summer would step in failing that we would need a consortium or something or have readily available people willing to come in, take control and fun the club. (i belive there are people waiting but wont meet ST's asking price, who, i dont know)
Some of the questions I raised in the email to them and had no response.
A87 im not part of fans united or on their facebook or anything but reading their statements and posts on here, mad and east ive gave answering your questions a bash, that and the fact im at graft and on my break. Comments in red...

We cannot divulge any plans we are working on for very obvious reasons, the potential investors obviously want complete anonymity just now and we must respect this.
We have and will continue to release information when we deem it appropriate to do so

We are on twitter
There is an email contact
We have facebook and now stand at 816 members there and over 400 on twitter
There is no secret, if you join there is a discussion forum to ask anything your heart desires.
We release statements and will be handing out flyers tonight to reach fans not on social media.
We are making huge strides behind the scenes but until the season is over don't expect any dramatic moves from us, there may be more protests IF we get the vibe the fans want them but like I say our work us being done behind the scenes for now.

Cheers ap.
On the topic of investors, understand you can't say too much but are you able to say if there is more than 1 person (or group) interested and in your opinion, do they have the financial clout and desire to not only dig us out a hole but to reinvest in all aspects of things in the football club ie youths, stadium, playing squad etc.
Big ask for somebody to pee several million into the tay

The huge misconception is you need millions behind you to run DUFC this is a gigantic myth, Dundee united should be a sustainable business at a canter.
We have spoken with several business men who have ridiculed the clubs spending and general running of the club, each one said the same thing
Dundee united is not run like a proper business and we have a list of many changes they would enforce if they ran the club, its absolutely staggering the money we waste not to mention the directors salaries which would not be happening under a new regime.
Pretty much every other chairman has other businesses to live off where as Thompson lives and extravagant lifestyle off the clubs back.
I urge any united fan out there to join us and put questions to us your eyes will be well and truly opened

If it's these Associate Directors you're talking about, then I'm with you there. Their names escape for a minute, but am I right in saying that they are paid employees of the Club? Whatever their salaries are, has anybody seen what improvement they have brought to the Club?

Now you are reeling me in.
Where do you (not your potential investor) see the massive savings coming? Genuinely interested. The accounts showed money to board totally between 200-300k. I guess southern will be on the hitlist.
Where else do you see significant savings? Guessing player wages but doesn't that significantly weaken the team?

"Potential investors" sounds promising.
I'm looking forward to hearing of the extent of the investment, which in reality is a donation to a Scottish football club.

I'm sure that the associate directors aren't paid a wage.

2016 accounts show directors numeration of £109 K plus related party transactions of £87K
Now remember ST isn't supposed to be taking a salary
We have 3 directors who take a salary and associated directors do not

OK fair doos. The Associate Directors are Dorward, is that right, and wha else?
Offline
Thompson Martin McGrory are the directors
Dorward , Stewart and Conway are the associates I think

Maybe I'm picking you up wrong here plumber but ST stopped taking a salary at the end of last season and these are the accounts to June 2016 so would include monies to ST
