Ive only met John once and that was 2 weeks ago when he talked of the foundation. Its still early days but they are going ahead with it.

The question is though are fans a) willing and more importantly b) are the able to afford to pay into a scheme like this? Dundee is not an affluent city. On the surface, I'd be happy to pay between £10-£15 a month in return for a say in the running of the club. However, when I factor in the £32 I pay each month for my season ticket plus the £5 I pay for Arabzone it suddenly starts to add up say between £47-£52 a month for United before you've even went to a home game, let alone an away game. I probably could afford it but, plenty of people won't be able to. How many people would a Foundation actually need to keep the club not just afloat, but prospering??? Will fans accept it if cuts need to be made and the football side suffers? Dundee fans couldn't and dropped their drawers to that shyster Melville.

I like the idea in principle but it can't be our only source of funding, the city can't afford it imho.

I dont think its ever been the intention of guys to be the only source of funding or to own the club. They just want to help financially which is no bad thing.
 

Arabtrust AGM at the end of the month.  No idea what's on the agenda but it probably should be getting asked.  I usually go and put my tuppence worth in.  I suspect there might be a few harsh questions getting asked this time on a number of issues.

I agree but I can't say I'd be all that happy about giving money to the present regime to mismanage.

Aye, cheers. This is why I think they need a change in direction to address the present issues, or they are quickly going to become irrelevant. If nothing else, they need to be a part of the conversations with these other groups on planning how to move forward.
 

They are irrelevant.  Harsh? Maybe but lets be honest apart fae one previous chairman theyve never criticised the board. The position of the arabtrust associate director is pointless. Has he ever said anything in public??

The boys are working hard to set this up. Hearts took years to set one up, they done it to have cash available when eventually went tits up. The boys doing this are trying to get it up and running in a few months. If anyone has any questions fire away I'll see if I can get them to answer. Although they might want to wait until they have some solid answers.

They will be talking to ex players to try and help the foundation.
The guys are looking for any sort of suggestion to help with this.

Interesting - That address is FourM Accountants which I think are related to Dand Carnegie. I heard a rumour at the weekend that Scott Carnegie is looking to oust ST in some way...
