If Mckinnon comes away with another negative team which results in a bad defeat again he'll lose the fans
Reading this thread he has lost some of them already. RM needs to play a style he thinks can win the game. most of our victories this season have been based on being hard to beat, as I posted earlier if he goes all out attack we will almost certainly lose. Losing to a better team will not see me turning against the manager.

Remind me of how many games we've won since xmas please
Since Christmas, we've won 2 (out of 9) (although we beat St Mirren 2-1 on Xmas Eve)
Won against Raith Rovers 3-0 and QoS 3-2 (Micky Mouse Cup)
Drawn against QoS 3-3, Dunfermline 1-1 and Morton 1-1
Lost 4 against Dumbarton 1-0, Hibs 3-0, Ross Co 6-2 and Falkirk 3-0
To use Ray's words, the blip
I have lost all interest in anything Ray says for the time being until the team starts performing on the pitch and to do that he will have to start getting his act together in picking the right players and playing the right formation. At the moment I am writing him off as another Jackie/Mixu. Happy however for Ray to redeem himself but not got any confidence based on the last 3 months or so

Is there still a game on tonight?

Think so...
Oh - have it on good authority that Simon Murray is starting

some of the 5!t3 you read on this is embarrassing, especially those about Fraser, by far and away he's our best footballer, when Andreu doesn't score what does he offer? when Flood isn't sprinting about trying to tackle what does he offer? when telfer isn't trying to get on the ball what does he offer? i can go on and on. Fraser has created the most chances for us by sum distance this season and people want him on the bench because he can't tackle? i want Flood on the bench then because he cant create, certain players play for what they offer Fraser offers ability in abundance Flood offers tenacity, Fraser for sum reason getting boring now is the scapegoat for a lot of supporters appreciate what he does because those who actually see and have a footballing brain know theres a good chance he'll be away in the summer.

An opinion is 'embarrassing' ?Bit much.
Although you have a bit of a point regards the lack of attributes some of the above players possess i have never seen any of them chuck the towel in when it came to a 50/50 and this resulting in losing a goal.
I can think of at least 3 times Fraser has done this already this year alone...
1)Halfway line v County in the Cup for their 6th
2)On McGinn v Hibs at the edge of the box for their 3rd
3)Out on right touchline v Qots for their 1st goal in Irn bru QF
He has to be completely committed in the challenge and stop this half-heartedness (good player or not).
Actually i tell a lie i can remember an instance when one of the above players you mentioned bottled a challenge that resulted in a goal.
Telfer v Dundee when Harkins robbed him and he never gave chase which resulted in them equalising with last kick of the ball in August 2016.
And he was (rightfully) chastised for it.

I'm not defending the fact he doesn't get involved in that side of the game, however he has played under 3 professional managers at our club who rate him very highly for his ability with the football not for his tackling, if it was tackling alone he would be nowhere near Celtic boys first 11 however the same could be said for Flood Murdoch etc if it come to footballing ability. My main point being certain players are in the side to be judged on creation Fraser Andreu etc and the others are the grafters every team has them. It's about now getting them to work together putting others strengths to help others weaknesses.
Everyone entitled to there opinions meant nothing by the 'embarrassing' claim, apologies to any offended.

Totally devoid of ideas. Gutting to see us so poor.

Toshney is a fucking stupid cunt, what actually goes through the boys head? 1000% his fault tonight

whole fking game was depressing. Might be at my absolute lowest point as a 33 year United supporter.
Can anyone give me just 1 positive fking thing going at the Club just now? Cos if you think we are getting through the fking playoffs you're a fking lunatic.

Toshney's suspended next week 😃

What we supposed to do with 10 men against the best team in the league by a country mile??
Offline

For how bad we are i am not and havnt been overly impressed with hibs performances (the 3-0 game apart)
Offline
a comprehensive defeat from a better team. We were just about hanging on until the red card after that Hibs had all the space they needed to control the game. after watching that last night would any of our team get in their starting 11?
Offline

I thought it was even steven before the red card, after that, utter pish. Toshney is a clown - on a yellow for persistent fouling, each of which were unnecessary, then goes flying into that tackle. Just pish.
Offline
Thought the game was even up untill the sending off! Two pretty poor teams in all honesty. Toshney cost us any chance of a positive result imo.
Offline

Thought we started pretty well. Hibs were'na brilliant. Seemed pretty 50-50 till the send aff.
Fraser wasna fouled. Idiotic to get yellowed in 4 mins for simulation. Shoulda passed left to Nicholls who was on the wing. This ended in Fraser being too easy goin for the rest oe the gehm in respect of challenges. This is part of a bigger picture of Fraser trying to beat every opposition player aroond him singlehandedly, instead of passing. It was particularly glaring last night. Shoulda been hooked earlier.
In saying that Fraser made the Hibs keeper make his only save of the match with a ba in fae the right in the 2nd half.
Tosh dafty. Needless foul on the centre line for a Yellow, then a 2nd dafty with 60 to go.
Think Durnan mighta clipped Gray in the pus just before Hibs corner.
Dickers had a no bad attempt from a free-kick which came off Durnan.
Highlight of the evening if you can call it that, was Chuntings getting sent aff and Treacle teeth told to p1ss off.
Painful to say this, but I think Hibs have got it in the bag.

The difference between the teams: Shots on goal - Utd 3, Hibs 17. The hungrier team won....
We're now third in the league soon to be fourth with Morton breathing down our neck?
Offline

After that, all my positivity has gone. When we saw the team prior to the game, all of us simply shook our heads.
Offline

That was the reaction of folk around me too Pat. 1 upfront is a no go.
Shoulda had 2 upfront and mibbee Robson starting. Ah chunt roond me were just anticipating Toshney gettin in baather. Didna hae to wait too lang.
Offline

Would you be willing to leave Andreu out in order to play 2 up front? He cant play anywhere other than as a number 10. Not wide or as an out and out striker (because he'd just drift and we'd end up with one up anyway? This is ultimately the problem Ray has left himself. Bearing in mind we have no quality wide players either.
Offline

No i wouldn't drop Andreu personally (thoufh he hasn't been great of late).
He is still our best bet for a goal.
