ST is probably well pissed off by the lack of supporter adulation, and perhaps feels the fans are organising against his leadership: this might cause him to think 'fuck it, I'm out', if a scenario arises where the Yanks want to buy him out.
BUT: I doubt his sister would be in agreement with selling, so the Americans wouldn't have control.
It won't happen.

Whoever he sells too would then be majority shareholder,regardless of whether his Sister sells her shares or not (fwiw i don't believe she would).

No one knows for certain (well not on here anyway) but her twitter is all about the wummins team and her killie pal. For example last Saturday utd at home to morton not a thing . Wummins team playing and full of it.

Fwiw I hae ma doubts the Americans would be so daft - spending millions and getting what - even the BNBs wouldnae follow a merged side never mind us.
Does beg the question though - if Thompson has to go do we all just sit around keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best?
Or should the fans be pushing for some measure of control?
