agreed, although Dixon/Robson choice has pros and cons

Re: Dundee Utd v Morton - Saturday 25/2/2017 (3.00pm)

Morton's right back is meant to have had a stinker last weekend, although the boy is more of a wing back (Jamie McDonagh). The left back struggled too, but he's commonly used further forward too.

So although I agree with Tek's choice (maybe with Dixon in) Ray might go for Nicholls starting, although don't know who'd drop out.

Re: Dundee Utd v Morton - Saturday 25/2/2017 (3.00pm)

No idea what team or formation Ray will plump for this week but this is a game  we need to win and take a grip of  from the KO.

Hopefully our home record continues this weekend

Re: Dundee Utd v Morton - Saturday 25/2/2017 (3.00pm)

VDS hasn't trained all week due to a dead leg sustained before the QotS game and is seemingly doubtful.

Too much commotion

Hospitality tomorrow for me: I got a great Mushroom Wellington last year for a main course when there, and lots of gin. And a cuddle from Cath Thompson.

Most importantly, United got three points, and I'll take a dreadful meal and poor drink service to get the points tomorrow.

Absolutely brutal today.  Clueless "tactics" fae the "manager".
That's worst utd team I've seen. Fucking absolutely gutted.

Re: Dundee Utd v Morton - Saturday 25/2/2017 (3.00pm)

We're not a passing team (absolutely brutal in possession again today). But, we're not a physical team either (bullied 1st half yet again). So, WTF are we?????

Too much commotion

Almost chucked it at 50 mins today! For some reason stayed till the end. Can't defend that, was absolutely f***in abysmal! Second best all over the park-Morton will be gutted they didn't take all three points today. Sickened with it all-wage thiefs the lot of them.

Re: Dundee Utd v Morton - Saturday 25/2/2017 (3.00pm)

the 1st hour was abysmal from both teams. we were basically pish but still had the chances to win the game. Andreu had a shocker Durnan still the best CF at the club. The whole team needs to man up and get the boot in.

it's all relative. Hibs draw too, so no change at the top.

We just need to aim for being the least shite

Re: Dundee Utd v Morton - Saturday 25/2/2017 (3.00pm)

Got to ask serious questions of the manager now.  Been giving him a pass because his squad is fking sh1t but you look at both lineups today, we should be playing them off the park.

Seems unsure of himself. Can see that with his selections.  Fucking brutal when you think no cunt  has known what our best 11 is for going 2 or 3 seasons.

You can forget promotion, that's for fucking cert.  I'm now shitting myself about things I've read on here and elsewhere.  Just how bad is it? Are we stable enough for another year in this league.

Shambles like.

Re: Dundee Utd v Morton - Saturday 25/2/2017 (3.00pm)

Despite the fact we had a couple of no bad moves started by VDV and a couple of nearies from Andreu and 1 fae Telfer, the 1st half was woeful to watch. Our passing was way-off the mark, losing possession loads of times. Too many times we passeed the ba back to Cammy Bell, only to lose possession when he kicked the ba oot, because we're no winning phuck-all in the air. Perfect example when we get a free-kick in the 1st half just on the half-weh line, but instead oe passin forward toward Moton's goal, Dickers passes back in a bizarre move, in which Floody loses the ba ootside OOR box. Double-edged sword and all that.

Don't know if anyhody else noticed, but Fraser, apart from taking a coarner, didna touch the ba till the 15th minute. Is it just me, but it seemed that when he lost the ba in a tackle or challenge,  he doesna reciprocate the challenge, he just walks away. Missed a sitter trying to lift it inta the tap left, instead oe just hitting it in.

We were much slower than Morton when trying to go up the park. This is becoming an all too familiar pattern. Another issue. They had ba at the half-weh line on the wing, their player runs we the ba doon the wing, unchallenged, then he passes then the ba. Another ane oe their players runs we the ba unchalleged inta oor box along the by-line, then hits the ba across the goal. Lucky nothing comes oe this. But strangely enough, their goal comes fae a free header fae the far post from a coarner.

Gehm cheenged for the better when Murraymints came on. But I ask, WFT was he no on fae the start. Big Mikk was isolated on his own upfront. And tgen 6 minutes later he takes Big Mikk aff. WTF.

Then when it's nearly too late, Durnan goes upfront we Murray, and wins umpteen baz in the air, making a number of good linkups to Murray. Durnan of coorse saves the day coz he's in the box to pick-up a poor clearance. Otherwise this was a minter.

Dinna ken what's goin on in Ray's haed, but I'm losing my patience we this.

Re: Dundee Utd v Morton - Saturday 25/2/2017 (3.00pm)

Thing that's puzzling me is why take Mikkelsen off if your just gonnae have to stick Durnan up front shortly after.

As has been said above some very hard questions need to be asked of Ray now?

Is he up to it - beginning to think maybe not

Re: Dundee Utd v Morton - Saturday 25/2/2017 (3.00pm)

Whilst that was a brutal game to watch, thought utd had enough chances to win. Was poor finishing that didn't get us the 3 points imo, fraser blasting over the bar from six yards was criminal!

September is longer than we've been told.  Meeting with Colin Stewart and the boy dorward other week it was said we'd secured money to see us through till the end of the season.  Scary
