Donaldson - what's the story?

Hasn't made the squad for weeks. Frozen out? Anyone know if we offered him a deal to leave?

Re: Donaldson - what's the story?

Willie's definitely out for Falkirk.
Durnan's there as usual.
That leaves Dillon/vdS/Toshney/Donaldson as Willie's replacement.
That's all I'm saying.

Re: Donaldson - what's the story?

Was speaking to someone (who shall remain nameless) but knows him and has done for years.

His comments were 'great Lad and should have went to the very top but his heads full of shit and he constantly needs his arse kicked and pushed to do better'.

The trial with Man Utd as a youngster would suggest there's a modicum of ability there that someone's noticed down the line.

But sadly he seems another one of these modern footballers who just doesn't want it enough and will probably see their career slip by quite quickly without having achieved anything of note.

His antics at Hampden last season left a bad taste in my mouth tbh.Not just the walking off the park injured but also his big cheesy grin and high fiving Hibs players.

The fans were hurting. But he certainly wasn't.

Sums it up really.

Laddie is a complete fruit loop and thinks he's pissing about at the park with his pals. No fight, no desire to get better or give a shit about the club or fans. He's too busy worrying if his hair is looking o.k. and where he is getting his lemon flavour Hooch for the party later on.

Would have released him during Jan if i'd been manager

Re: Donaldson - what's the story?

Players usually warm up close to my end of the George Fox lower, granted its a " Warm up" but always thought it looked like more of a carry on and f**k about for Donaldson! certainly more than anyone else.

The same horse told me Sammon was on the menu so I'm not listening to that horse no more.
Which reminds me I heard a good story on Saturday about Sammon and this story from a reliable horse....

Not being a wide boy here, but I'd genuinely forgotten about him.

No brainer (hopefully Ray sees it this way) - Toshney and VDS should be played in the best positions (def Mid and RB). Dillo an experienced CB and should be able to cover for this game.

Bring back the (real) "United Way" not the kiddy-on Martin version

Maybe they have now seen him in action.

Decision today.

Re: Donaldson - what's the story?

The deal is OFF.

THE Poles decided they wanted him on loan first and Utd have (rightly imo) rebuffed this.

Re: Donaldson - what's the story?

Fucking crazy IMO, he is of no use to us so a loan deal would've suited both parties.

Re: Donaldson - what's the story?

They probably realised he was fuckin gash and backed out.

Re: Donaldson - what's the story?

Contract not up until 2018 - not getting a game - transfer window over - why the fuck would we not put him out on loan

Bizarre and mistifying

Because we only have 3 fit players who can play CH and have a heavy run of games coming up.One or more of them get injured and we are in a World of trouble.

I don't rate Donaldson but i can see why McKinnon would want to hold on to him unless we are getting cash immediately.

I'd play Robson there before Donaldson tbh if injuries forced it or even Allardice.

I'd prob play my Mrs at CH before him as well to be fair.

Re: Donaldson - what's the story?

It's a good observation, TheShed: Robson looks quite able when he has had to deal with things centrally.

Are you miserable simply because Donaldson is not leaving? I'm sure Tek will take account right enough!

Re: Donaldson - what's the story?

Can often see a glimmer of hope in a player that age but his reaction to disasters when he's obviously to blame tells me he's no chance of improving as things stand.

By the time he grows up and stops acting like mad Gav his career might well be over.

Re: Donaldson - what's the story?

His defensive brain farts are bad. More like mental wet farts.

If he did a wet fart he'd probably blame his boxers.
