I'd play Robson in place of Dillon. Other than that I'd be happy with that line up.
Only problem is, do we go with a strongish side or bring the players on the sidelines in? League is be all & end all & even though I'll be there I want the best of our players protected for the run in.
Caught between a rock & a hard place.

Robson or Dillon at LB is the only decision i was swaying on mate.
Had enough of Dixon.Simply can't defend.

Robson had his worst game for us against qots at tannadice a few weeks ago.
As much as he is an upcoming talent we need to be careful playing him a game here and there imo he needs to build confidence.
Another position we are lacking in.

One of our better performances of the season was down in Dumfries. Robson came on for an injured Dixon & played very well.
As much as I want UTD to win every game they play, this is undoubtedly a distraction.

It'll be:
Zwick
Dillon
Donaldson
Edgenguele
Robson
Murdoch
Telfer
Coote
Van Der Velden
Nicholls
Murray
Subs: Long, Davie, Allardyce, B. Smith, Taylor, Appere, Mikkelsen

Team seems to suffer without confidence and sometimes becone complacent with it fae the week afore.
Less competitions we are in means less injuries.
More wins supposedly help.
Fuckin fuck knows!

Finding it very difficult to give the slightest fuck about this game tbh.
Bell
VDS
Durnan
Edge
Robson
Flood
Fraser
Andreu
Murray
Mickelson
Nicholls
In a 4132 formation would be my team, Robson has been poor in his more recent games but not as poor as Dickers. Dillon LB wouldn't be any worse tbf.

Nicholls has played on the left the last two games. What makes you think he can play on the right? He was poor yesterday. First half spent most of game a yard past the touchline

McKinnon said when he signed he can play both flanks and upfront.

As this games (let's be honest here) a bit pointless i'd use it just to try one or two different things mate.
Namely - Dillon at LB and Nicholls at RW.
And play 4-4-2

Trying Dillon at left back is a waste as he is never going to hold the position down so thats pointless. If dropping dixon its for robson.
Would go murray and mikkelson up top

I see what yer saying but Im just not interested in this competition. Hurts me saying that but I'm just scunnered. Been going near 40 years . Last 32 years home and away almost every week. In fact probably only missed about a dozen games in thar 32 years but for the first time next week I just cannae be bothered.

I know how you feel, mate. I'm just glad I don't live in Dundee now, as I know only too well that I would be tempted into wasting time, effort, and money in attending the games.

Time for Robson to get a run at LB, although he was poor at Dingwall, like everyone else. He maybe was a good option at the central back yesterday, as (and it's an opinion), he is good in the air and appears positionally aware for that area.
I'd like us to get back on track, yet would go further than saying i don't give a fuck about this competition. I hate it, and will go to no games in it until the u20s and Welsh and Irish teams are not included. I'm talking about games over and above United matches, as I go to watch other teams at times too.
So the match next Saturday is a real dilemma for me.

Robson never played against QOS at tannadice last time it was Dixon. If I remember correctly the young lad has not played a league game since before Christmas. The only way for him to get better and learn is to play him, he can't do any worse than dixon!!
Your right i was thinking of the county game.

Yip he needs a proper run out of games imo
Telfer and flood in middle

Great 1st half.
Brutal 2nd half.
A wins a win though.

when confidence is low any win is a good thing Zwick should have saved thier 1st goal. That changed the entire flow of the match.
wherever the final is whoever the opposition whatever is the date I will be in attendance.

I don't blame Zwick and I didn't blame Dixon last week for Falkirks 3rd. In both games we had a chance to clear our lines but didn't and set up 2 attacks which turned into goals. I blame the stupid style of football we play especially given we are not equipped (i.e. we don't have the ability) to play this way.

Zwick should have got a stronger wrist to it but the chance stemmed from some criminally sloppy play by Fraser.
He is decent going forward at times but he is actually costing a few goals through just sheer sloppiness in possession.Needs to just learn to clear his lines at times.

Spent the night in Annan with relatives.
Telfer's goal made up for the sloppy back-pass he made in the 1st minute which nearly cost us. Fraser puts the ba in and looks like some kinda deflection off their defenders meant Telfer ends up we the ba.
2nd goal came from attempt from Murray, and 2 strikes from Fraser. Good piece of play from Fraser and Murray up the wing to set this off, ba in fae Murray, then Tony back-heels to Murray.
3rd came from good work from Tony and Murray. Tony passes oot to Murray, then runs toward the box. Murray puts the ba in fae the edge oe the box. Actually thought the ba was meant for Fraser, but it mighta come aff the defender and Tony curls it in.
Don't know if anybody else felt like this, but I thought there were periods in the 1st half, when it felt like we were hemmed in oor ane half.
Their 1st. Ok mibbe Zwick shoulda got a hand on it, but 3 or 4 of oor players p1ssing about we the ba just ootside the box. Suicide if ye ask me. Do we never learn.
Their 2nd. Boy unmarked in oor box puts the ba in. There musta been 7 or 8 oe oor players in oor box. Frank is wrang side oe Lyle, but runs to block the ba. When the ba went in the net, Eh actually thought it was Frank that put the ba in. Zwick was aff his line and too far to right to dae anythin.
Say one thing for Queens. They never give up.
