Second half was the best play for a long time this season. Dicker maybe just needed a bang in the puss to get him going! Toshney bossed the midfield and Phil looked better and the goals will be a shot on the arm for him. New lad looks good at first sight, direct style and looked to get down the wing. Well done to the lads massive win to hopefully get up going again

look at yer post in the morning. Faf !
Good win though. Pleased for the Danish lad. Barnet boy!! Burst the net laddie!
You like to have a dig at posters and complain at those doing the same B&T.
Give it up for fuck sake. Let's enjoy a 3-0 win.
Thought the wee tweak, pulling Murray back and wide, worked - attacking players got closer together and much better tempo throughout second half.
Happy enough eventually and will enjoy the result and resist the urge to find any negatives tonight 😁

A tweak like that will maybe throw the oppositions tactics bud. We've been too predictable in the recent past.

We were poor until we scored after that we totally dominated and should have scored more. Mikkelson gave the team a bit more balance his movement gave Andreu and Fraser a target.
All those who claimed Dixon was finished may have to reconsider MOM for me.
My MoM also

I think he simply meant a lighthearted jibe at Mario's spelling of 'tale'.
Talk about storm in a teacup.

Mikkelsen's link up play was good and he took his goals really well. Nicholls, the miss with his first touch apart, actually looked decent. Nippy and appeared to have a football brain (which put him a notch above Tope right away).

Hard to know good Nicholls is after seeing him in that short time but agree with what you say. Tracked back for sure too.

Nicholls looked positive, mind though against a team on the back foot. The chance he got, I thought, was touched on unintentionally by Murray, but if he'd scored it would have been some story.
Mikkelsen's performance was encouraging, even when we were toiling in the first half, he caused Raith problems with his movement, and wisely made sure he was rarely one on one with the giant defender M'voto.
No real failures for me, although some players didn't really shine.

Miko - seems to be getting better and better?

Is it just me or is the board a bit quieter after a victory rather than a defeat

It's maybe just you.
The board was busy recently because folk were disappointed by the transfer window.
Only my opinion, mind you.

Dixon played well today.
Maybe his best game since he came back infact.
I thought he was finished but maybe (just maybe) he can put together some kind of form now.
I hope so.

I thought dickers was finished too but I seriously hope he can push on now!
Played his part in both 1st & 2nd goals!(think he got both assists)

Falkirk next week. Not the semi 😉

Dixon was superb after his injury, crunching into tackles, playing great passes and doing what we all loved about him in the first place, attacking and getting balls into the box, I'm sure he assisted all three.
Some of the football was excellent on the second half.

Great result, good to see Mikkelsen get 2 goals, especially 2 headers.
Didn't think the performance was great, thought Raith were very poor, but the confidence that comes from a 3 nil win is the important thing going forward. Need a run of wins to try and pressurise Hibs.

Good to see mikkelsen showing up well.
His link up play and aerial strength makes it easier for the midfield.
Murray done well when he moved to the left as well. Plays better when he can feed off someone.
I remember someone saying it won't make a difference signing another striker because of the service, but yesterday showed how different styles of player can compliment each other.
I know raith are on a bad run, but a lot of positives from yesterday. Hope the bang on the head Dixon got brought back his memory as he started playing like 2010 Dixon after that haha

I said as much and completely stand by my remarks. We have had a number of strikers here in the last 3 years who have not done the business for us (I include Ciftci last 4 months with us). Nearly all were written off as being "not good enough". My view was that to judge strikers you need to give them decent service - hence my remarks above. What changed is that last week Ray set out a team to attack, to get the ball forward quickly and often and he repeated the tactic yesterday and lo and behold it worked. Last week was less successful but the performance up top was certainly encouraging. Too many times and in recent times the opposing defence/keeper hasn't been tested. If we carry on with Rays new found approach we may find more opposition teams are actually poor or poorer than we previously thought when they are put under pressure. For me the past 2 games have been more attractive to watch as they contained more goalmouth action and with Tosh in his right position we haven't had to be so defensive minded

Really enjoyed that second 45 yesterday (no said that in while) special mention obviously for big Mikkelsen good to see um bag his first goals in tangerine.
Also liked seeing Fraser back in the middle thought he dictated the second half and what aboot when he gets running wi the baw they can't get near um ,is he quicker with the ball than without?? , had a bit of bite aboot um as well yesterday going into tackles putting himself aboot which I'm surprised hasn't been mentioned on this thread!!
Tony Andreu getting back to his earlier form.
Roll on next week.

Maybe that's a fair enough point.
It also stands that mikkelsen afforded the option of being able to do that.
There's no point whipping crosses in if your only striker can't win them.
Even in the first half, when we were poor, mikkelsen won most of the headers that came his way. That let Murray focus on what he's better at as well.
Now we have the target man everyone wanted we should be able to stretch the poorer teams.

Huvnae been feelin my best the last the or so, due havin chest infection and tonsillitis. Managed the game tho, despite feelin sh1t, thoroughly enjoyed it.
We were the better team throughout the whole game irrespective of the fact fowk thought that the 1st half wasna great. Have to say our 2nd half performance was probably the best I've seen this Season.
Goals.
No1. From the attempt by Fraser straight from the free-kick (following bad foul on Big Tam), the goalie parries away to left. For once we've got somedy in the far post area - Dickers who turns the ba superbly and lifts it inta Big Tam for a crackin header in.
No2. Succession of good passes. Fraser to Andreu. Andreu to Murray. Murray to Dickers. Good run by reformed Dickers, ba inta Big Tam, short pass to Andreu. Great control and turn for the 2nd.
No3. Think it's Tosh who passes to Dickers way bsvk in our own half. Then Dickers goes on a half-marathon. Dickers then passes out to the left-wing to Murray. Murray takes 1 touch and crosses inra Big Tam. TBH at the time, I didna think the ba was goin any place near the goal. A lassie in the aisle carryin drinks, thru her arms up in the air, and a cup if coffee went over a guy in his seat.
MOTM. Difficult one. Has to be either Big Tam or Dickers.
Goin awa back to my kip. Feelin sorry for mysell.
