DUFC v Raith - Saturday 4th February 5.15pm

Big Willy Edjenguele suspended leaves McKinnon with a dilemma in defence.

We also of course have question marks over Cammy Bell's fitness (apparently been carrying a knock for awhile now).

I think i would go.

......................Bell.................
VDS.....Dillon.......Durnan....Dixon....
Spittal.........Flood............Fraser
...................Andreu...................
......Mikkelson.......Murray............

Subs - Zwick,Toshney,Nicholson,Coote,
           Robson, VDV, Donaldson

Re: DUFC v Raith - Saturday 4th February 5.15pm

Could be a possibility of putting toshney in along side durnan although id think that would be an accident waiting to happen.

Thought toshney done better last week so id  stick him in along side flood.

Bell
Frank
Dillon
Durnan
Robson
Flood
Toshney
Fraser
Andreu
Mikkelson
Murray

We need to win this game simple as that

I would personally have Robson in for Dixon but other than that pretty much on the money

VDS.  Toshney.   Durnan.     Dixon

    Murray.    Mikkelsen.   Nicholls

Zwick. Dillon. Robson. Telfer. Spittal. Murdoch. VDV

Might as well see what the new boys can do up top.

Looks like a toss up between Toshney or Dillon at CH

If Toshney drops back Telfer comes in

Unless the new guy is up to speed I wouldn't play him

Nicholls should be match fit. Whether he's 'up to speed', well, that's another thing.

I'd put Toshney at CH, mostly because Dillon is our cover for all back four positions, while Toshney (imo) is not a full back.

I like this team. only scary thing is the attacking options on the bench. but we know that cant be helped with the current pool of players.

Not sure if it's 4231 or 442 with that starting 11, hoping it's actually 4132 but doubt it.

You'd think it'd be 4-1-3-2 with that lineup...

Can get back to 5 behind Hibs and pull away from Morton...

Morton beaten Hibs dropped 2 points. Good incentive for Arabs

Re: DUFC v Raith - Saturday 4th February 5.15pm

Players looked very uncomfortable with the formation (4-1-2-1-2?) - change at h/t maybe?

Tail of two halfs! Good for Mikkelsen to get 2 goals, vdv is defo a number 10 thought he was decent when he came on, nicholls should have scored but look deceiving nt, all in all good win move on to the semi next week and hopefully get in to the final, ftd

Re: DUFC v Raith - Saturday 4th February 5.15pm

1st half = Brutal

2nd half = absolute domination

1st win in 5 weeks and a clean sheet.

2 goals for the Dane and yet another for Tony.

With Hibs dropping 2 points and Morton 3 that's a very good days work.

Re: DUFC v Raith - Saturday 4th February 5.15pm

I liked the fact that Ray stuck with last week's new attacking approach - think we'll do well if we continue with this instead of the sterile Jackie football. Also nice to see players played in their right position eg Toshney, VDV (when he came on) and nice to see us playing to players strengths eg Dixon (having a target to aim at) & Murray (getting the chance to run at opponents), etc. and all this without last weeks MoM Willo. Roll on the Falkirk game.

Re: DUFC v Raith - Saturday 4th February 5.15pm

Could have been 6 or 7. Good for Mikkelson's confidence, Nicholls the opposite hitting the post with a dream start beckoning. Hopefully makes him more determined.
2 points closer to Hibs. Dickers looked to have broken his nose so fair play for staying on and well involved in setting up goal. Some underperformed but helped like Si too with an assist so grumping about shit tonight is for the perfectionists and pessimists.

Only complaint is we should have scored more.

No doubt somecunt will post that RR were poor so that's all it is.

Re: DUFC v Raith - Saturday 4th February 5.15pm

We were poor until we scored after that we totally dominated and should have scored more. Mikkelson gave the team a bit more balance his movement gave Andreu and Fraser a target.
All those who claimed Dixon was finished may have to reconsider MOM for me.
