Seems fair enough to me.

Can someone tell me:

(1)  when was the group started and how many meetings of the group have taken place?

(2)  who represents/represented who?

(3)  what has been discussed?

(4)  are their minutes; or are they top secret?

So at that "The Fed" had a seat at the table with ST?  Along with other United fan groups?

If so, then in my humble opinion The Fed have missed a trick, as instead of asking the infamous questions in the manner in which they were asked; if they'd asked them instead in the abbreviated manner I suggested, then surely the Fed would have some answers by now.  And if the rest of the group did not want the answers to those questions, then your assessment of "a load of waffle" would be spot on.


 

The fact he only popped into this for 5 minutes once shows the contempt he has for all our support, not just the fed who some seem to think are the only ones he shows this for.

What's the point of a liaison group if he won't take the time to liaise with it?

The purpose of the group should surely have been to liaise with the support ?  Clues in the name I would have thought, but it does appear to just have been a lot of shite to try and look like something was getting done.

DUNDEE UNITED STATEMENT KLAXON

Following a report in a local paper today, Dundee United can confirm it was notified by The Federation of Dundee United Supporters’ Clubs of its intention to resign from the Supporters’ Liaison Group.While disappointed the Federation has removed itself from the main communication vehicle for all supporters’ groups, the operation of the Supporters’ Liaison Committee remains unaffected.

The Supporter’s Liaison Group was formed to give all Dundee United supporters the opportunity to communicate on a regular basis with the Club on a wide range of matters in a structured environment and the Club is delighted that organisations such as ArabTRUST, Dundee United Business Club, United Ladies of Tannadice and independent supporter representation remain engaged in a constructive dialogue with the Club.

A place on the group continues to be available to the Federation should they wish to return and continue communicating with the Club.

Doesn't exactly sounds like a dynamic organisation put together for the good of the fans.

I suppose it's good they have left the door open for a return of the fed, if they change their mind

Two different things: the club called off the proposed January meeting with the Federation, then the Federation folk pulled out of the Liaison Committee, to which the club has left the door open should they wish to return.

If I was ever going to a meeting in the past, I'd want to see the Agenda in advance, and I'd want to have Matters Arising at the start of the meeting. Also, the last meeting's minutes would have to be accepted, and if I wanted an item on the Agenda, I'd insist on it being there. Am I correct in thinking none of this happened with the Liaison Committee meetings?
