No.But he could be removed from his Chairmanship.
A role i have no confidence in him holding.
I'd guess Tek, that could onoy be achieved by some vote of No Confidence, by the other shareholders in the Club.

I'd need to double check but IIRC his own shareholding is over 50% of the issued shares so that won't work either

That being the case scarpia, we might have to dig deep.

I want him and the hangers out of the club as much as the next person. However it has to be done in the proper way. The team right now need us in the stands, ok we haven't been great this season but we are still in with a right good chance of getting back up at first attempt. I don't think doing things like boycotts, throwing season tickets on the park etc is the way. What the answer is I do not know.

Well said Mr Bombscare. My sentiments exactly. This is what it is like to live within your means. What goes on in the stands affects what goes on on the park.

Guys, I've suggested on the other thread, protests will gain nothing if conducted during matches.
I'm also suggesting we all swallow the frustration, and try to organise a 'united' group of supporters who can make a proper approach to the club.

Question is would United welcome any supporters views as they have alienated the Fed. Organised protests outside the ground after matches may get some attention. I suspect any letters / social media posts etc will just be completely ignored.

Just playing devils advocate here.
If there is a protest of sorts and it results in Thompson walking away or selling up and there is no-one there to take control of the running of Dundee United, where do you see things going from there? I can only see a downward spiral.
If the board are to be removed there has to be a back up plan in place.
For the record I want the current board out too, but not if its going to further damage United before a new board is in place.

Until we get someone in the board who will question what Thompson's motives are we are fucked, what the fucked is the Trust boy doing?
Mass walkout in the 83rd minute on Saturday? Just an idea to let them know we will not continue to stand for it, each fan clap their way out so the team know it is not them we are walking out in protest against (this week)

Start on Saturday by getting right behind the team to preserve an unbeaten record at Tannadice this season of P14 W11 D3.
None too shabby?
To save MEST posting, let me...'Yeah but we've been phukn stinking'.

The plumber is a realist though. You live in some sort of utopia where everything's great.

A realist?! I can think of other names. I'm not Utopian but I do have my Club's name engraved on my heart.
So our Home record's not P14 W11 D3 then? Maybe that's a Utopian record?

My clubs in my heart tae. Only missed two games all season. I still know that we're getting run into the ground though
Yes that record is impressive but it'll mean fuck all if we don't get promoted at the end of the season.
Nice one CA, I do believe you get more measured posts on Tek Towers.

No, he's a pessimist. Smeds is an optimist.
There's room for all opinions but what I don't get is why everyone is a wanker if they don't exactly agree...
