Hard ane to take yesterday, some real positive signs though. In particular young Fraser took the gem by the scruff of the neck in that second half he was unplayable at times beating the defenders both ways left foot& RIGHT FOOT and put a couple on a plate for the big striker who couldn't finish his tea. I've said before I'm a big fan of his, he frustrates is at times but he really is and great young talent and his work rate yesterday was ****ing brilliant.
What aboot the 3 or 4 round him second half and he embarrassed all them and stuck it through the boys legs, fantastic stuff.
Team as a whole performed much better , couple players in before window shuts and give this a right good go.

Thought performamce was much better than has been the past few games.
Fraser had best game in a while done well
Zwick done what was asked of him when he came on.
Thought should have brought tope on to give us something else out wide but never.
Mikkelson didnt seem fit and was the right sub to make.
Dixon was better today.
Think overall we should have won good few chances which should have been buried.
Over 1100 arabs fantastic turnout again.I was in the home end today (with a family member who's a Par) and got a good look at Mikkelson in the first half.He looked decent - he put himself about physically closing down defenders, caused them problems with his arial presence, had one nice turn to create space for one effort which went straight to the keeper. He was also the focal point for our attacks with Spittal, Dixon VDS and Fraser all looking to find him with their crosses. Not surprised that he didn't last the 90 but what was there was encouraging for me and I've been as big a critic as anyone over the last 10/11 games given the lack of attacking football. Thought when he went off we lost a good chunk of our attacking edge. 2 points dropped but a performance in parts which suggest that we might be competitive in the play offs. No failures this time and a welcome return to form for MoM Willo Flood
Good summary Annan, interesting to hear what our attacking play was like in the first half, difficult to see the angles from 100 yards.
A lot better overall, we did everything but win. Good performances from Dixon & Flood who've been off-colour recently and Fraser's 2nd half performance was excellent, hope no scouts there.

Thought Scott Fraser was superb on saturday, dunfermline seem to want to bring him down every time he got on the ball, the turn and nut meg on the edge of the box was pure class, yet still folk were moaning like fuck at him during the game ffs.
Second half we played well IMO, the new boy is clearly not match fit but put himself about and adds a new dimension for us as an attack, on another day he could of scored a hat trick.
Also great to see abit more fight and determination to win the game.
Only negative for me is Spital is wasted as a right winger, doesn't provide anything or wants to beat a man when he had loads of chances to do so. Would have subbed him for Tope.

I think Spittal actually offers more defensively than offensively. I read somewhere that our goals against are minimal when he's on the pitch.

Aye but when we are struggling for goals and one of your main attacking positions is filled by a boy that doesn't want to attack it doesn't help does it?

I think the passage of time (7 days) suggests I was right to be more positive than you about the big striker (who you said couldn't finish his tea). Nice to see us having arial power in attack and using it to such good effect.Lets hope Ray sticks with this attacking approach - its good for the whole team
